Honestly, bro, I would advise you to learn Tech, Tech is the new oil money in town.

Learn Web design/development, video editing, graphic design, and copywriting. You can freelance or get a job in a company, it will pay you well.

The only quick and profitable skill you pick even in a month are become your own oga in less than two months is vulcanising. Just look for a busy oga and bargain with him. In about 3 weeks you're on. Then stay another 3 months to the entrepreneurial wisdom and techniques of the trade. What are the equipment you need? The compressor pump, the qauge and the the flat metal lever made by welder from lorry rings. I don't think all this can cost up to 100k. Approach the local council in your area to rent a good location. You may not return to driving again, cos you can now do that and so many other things at your leisure..

Good morning nairalanders,

I'm just a fresh graduate seeking for greener pasture, I've been applying for driving jobs around because I have a little driving experience at least if I can start from there. But the Issue is they have been requesting for my drivers license which I don't have at the moment, however I've started the process and according to information the drivers license sould take about 2 to 3 months to process.
Now I'm thinking of what to do within the space of this 3 months since I'm presently idle. What easy but promising hand work can I learn?, or what easy software skill should I learn to boost my career in the future or probably boost my CV?, which organization in Lagos can I work voluntarily for 3 months to gain skills that can help boost my CV?
Someone suggested learning how to fill gas.

NB; please if you own any organization within Lagos where I can work voluntarily, or you have any link or connection please help out. I don't like staying idle

First of all, why are you, a graduate, starting out your career by seeking work as a driver? What will your career progression be? chief executive driver, or head of staff transport.

Secondly , why are you asking people who don't know you and who have various biases what you should do? Why not ask yourself what you should do. Start with what you are passionate about, an industry you would like to work in. In short, If money was not a factor, and you had all to meet your needs and wants, what kind of work would you do?

Finally , you can learn about something in three months, but to really know about it, to really be skilled in it, takes effort, exposure, experience and time. It is practice that makes perfect. Therefore start with something or an industry that you won't mind being in for a while. Don't decide only on the basis of your stomach.

Good luck.

It's great that you're actively seeking opportunities to enhance your skills during this waiting period. Learning a trade like gas filling can be a valuable skill. Additionally, considering software skills that are in demand, you could explore learning coding languages like Python or web development skills. As for volunteering, you can reach out to NGOs, community centers, or tech start-ups in Lagos to inquire about volunteer opportunities that align with your interests. Networking through professional Crypto platforms and attending local events may also help you find connections. Best of luck in your job search and skill-building journey!

As a software developer and AI specialist, I would not advise the op to go for python or any other language because of the short time frame he has to learn. Instead, he can go for digital marketing instead and begin to grow his skills. Of course he may not gain total mastery of all aspects of digital marketing such as inbound, outbound marketing. He can zero in on Google Analytics. I say this because marketing is one skills that everyone would need if they want to grow. It could come in handy for selling one's skills, services or products.

Rather than looking for what to learn, kindly analyse what you want to do with your life

As Life is meant to be enjoyed rather than endured, to acheive this. You need to power up your interest either as a skill that engineer your passion to the next level

With that, you need information technology IT to advance within a relatively short period of time

It could Social media management and Marketing

I can recommend software skills and even give you link to the materials.
What I cannot recommend is “easy software skills”.
There’s nothing like that.
