Chaii, chaii, what a people dwelling in abundance, people whose eyes are wide open looking they cannot see, they walk in darkness. A people who put politics in all things, people who don't know the meaning of truth and fact, a people who glorifies propaganda and are eating up by religion. I pray for the innocent children in the mess of their fathers right now, will redeem their days.

Kano State alone in the North-West has 1.5 million children under five years of age who are stunted, representing over 10 percent of the country's burden.

Abdulsamad rabiu 6.5 billion dollars kano state
Dantata 2.5 billion kano state
Dangote 12.5 billion kano state

Kano state 1.5 million children with malnutrition over 6 million poverty infested inhabitants

Even if dangote shares naira 1million to each child it still wont solve the problem. Book is haram to them, all they care about is koran and fresh wives.

They already doing ground work by reeling out figures in anticipation of palliatives and NEMA intervention funds.
Yet Kano is like Dubai and is home state to half of the wealth in Nigeria.

News like this is for preparation for the arrival of palliatives and intervention funds. They have perfected the art of claiming half the poverty of Nigeria yet having half the total wealth in Nigeria.

despite their elites looting 90percent of the resources of the federation which actually comes from the niger delta region what a shame, and the docile, greedy, follow follow, cowardly elite from the niger delta with the exception of a few scramble for the crumbs and left overs by their counterparts in the north watch while the north loot their resources.
The accountant general under Buhari alone looted close go N200Bn and took most to Kano to invest. Dangote and Dantata are from there so like 50% of the wealth is there.

How ironic! It took the FG almost two years of economic blockade and starvation to reduce Biafran children to this hopeless level during wartime. It is very mind-boggling to see how the Northern elites are inflicting the same inhumane treatment upon their own children in a more peaceful atmosphere than obtained in Biafra in the 70s.
If this was not karma in its full regalia, I wonder what it is then? Pathetic.

In my hometown Ondo, I notice the majority of the kids are stunted. The vast majority of boys seem 5ft 4in and under, all primary due to poverty and having too many children.

The minimum a family has is 5 kids. This is ridiculous.

Especially in rural communities across Nigeria, there is are glaring numbers of stunted children and poor brain development which seems to be a non-issue at various levels of government.

If Governors would develop their states & Lg', it would dissuade people running to urban centers like Kano, the situation wouldn't be so dire. Apart from the uncontrolled birth rate , you now have People from neighbouring states trooping in for greener pastures due to the commercial nature of the state. Same as the Almajiri. More than 80% of the Almajiri in Kano are from Neighbouring states. Kwankwaso tackled some these issues, Ganduje just came for the money. Political will is a big problem

Some would ar
gue that the country should produce more food to overcome hunger.

What many fail to realize that the primary cause of hunger isn't a lack of food but a lack of money. Poverty is what fuels hunger.

Many of the chronacally malnourished children here are offsprings of farmers. The North which is the breadbasket of the country has the highest levels of malnourished children.

One way to help the poor is through Conditional Cash Transfer but without a proper database of the neediest families and how to reach them, this is dead on arrival.

Try get sense, the issues of this poverty in North is over population, giving birth to kids you can't take care of, Nigeria Government should reduce each birth of all Families in Nigeria to only two children, and see how poverty will stop in Nigeria.

I don't believe it.

You don't believe what? Most children in Nigeria are malnourished. This has led to stunted growth and development in most children.

Haven't you noticed the remarkable difference between a 15 years old in Nigeria and their counterpart abroad? Or the difference between an 'ajebo' and a confirm 'ajekpako'. Some 15 years old, do have the stature of a 10 year old.
