Frankrobbn1: Hello everyone, My application was refused based on my personal assets and financial status. check the screenshot attached. My uncle is the sponsoring the whole thing(different surname) Name of school: Centennial College - I Initially paid tuition for 1 semester - Now I paid Tuition for 1 academic session (2 semesters). - Total Semester is 3 and the total duration of study is 2 years(optional co-op work) -I didn't submit my personal bank statement since I didn't have any money there then and now - I have a company, we have started operations but we haven't really done any transactions and we recently opened company, we are currently testing the product - A friend suggested I can use the company as Home ties by submitting company documents such as particulars of directors, cac, etc - My sponsor, have about 20M in his personal account and he provided a statement of account and other necessary document. - Now he provided additional documents to back the company which he mentioned that he own such as landed property documents, particularly of directors, etc. - I have also done mentorship in tech communities in Nigeria, should I also get letters of Recommendation from the communities as additional documents Please what advice would you give, is there anything else you would also recommend I do before applying? before applying for the study visa again late this month

I would recommend you do a self-sponsor or have your sponsor send part of the amount to your account as a commitment to you. You will likely be refused if you reapply with what you just shared frankrnz: |

Walk into the bank and print out your statement of account. The amount placed on the lien will reflect, "There is nothing like lien funds". You can use it for your application Odemok: |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by JMG12: 5:11pm On Nov 04, 2023 |
That is not relevant; schools have two means of reference; later, you will follow up on them to ensure they respond on time, as some might forget or ignore 1. On the portal, you can be asked to upload the reference letter you obtained from your references. or 2. You fill in the details of your references, and the school will send an email to the references you provide for them to respond. Ammy5565: |

Based on your information, your uncle has sufficient funds to sponsor you, but the VO doubts the relationship and, consequently, your access to the funds. You likely provided limited info regarding the relationship with your sponsor and his incentive to sponsor you. You can use the following to support your claim. Affidavit of sponsorship and relationship Linking your mother's maiden name to his last name, assuming he is your maternal uncle Photos taken with him, preferably during a family event Text, chat or email communication with him Proof of prior support, not necessarily financial Show commitment by funds transfer. You should have funds in your account, especially if you are not a recent graduate, even if it is 1M. Addressing this issue does not mean you cannot be refused for another reason. So, ensure other aspects of your application, like home ties, purpose of study, etc., are taken care of. Yes, you can use the recommendation letter as a home tie, depending on how you plan your submission. All the best. frankrnz: 2 Likes |

What is your brother’s occupation? How long has he been working with the company? What is his biweekly or monthly wage? His status in the UK? How much was in your brother’s account? Is his status expiring before your program's end date? Answers to some of these questions can allay the concern of the officer. So, consider discussing his profile in your next application if he has substantial funds and you intend to use him as your sponsor. Most officers usually do not accept a promise to pay for the subsequent year without having the cost of education for one and a reliable means of paying for the subsequent year. Furthermore, it will be challenging to convince the officer if your brother’s account history is consistently low. Scottotas1: |
