He has his reasons, probably from years of engaging indigenous employees and other nationalities. I guess that has helped him in making a more informed decision regarding those to employ and those he shouldn't.

As an employer and a recruiter, Trust me.. Nigerians are a whole lot when they get to positions where they can perpetrate all sorts with minimal supervision.
They will run you down.
If only I could list all sorts of trouble we encounter everyday from these guys. You get them a job and the next thing, they're looking for ways to make extra cash from the company/employer thereby putting us in trouble even after all the reference and background check.

That just the honest truth if you really want to succeed in life you just have to be heartless or ruthless if not people will take advantage of you .

Where I served 2020 during nysc the CEO refused to signed my final clearance paper, some of us who travel back to our state because no where to stay in Lagos. Did not return back when he wanted us to return. There was restriction then to travel back but he did not listen to us.

I recently discovered that the physics material we're using in my department, is of Indian origin.

Those guys are good. Even when you search for some topics on YouTube, there is a good chance that you'll see a video and an Indian explaining it.

I rarely watch Indian YouTubers though, because their accent is difficult for me to comprehend. Just a few of them I can understand. (Mostly slow speaking female).

It appears Nigerian engineers are deliberately sabotaging and slowing down the project so that the longer they work, the longer they are also paid. Indians want to work, finish the project and go back to India ASAP.

Secondly, the amount of materials being stolen from the construction site is crazy. Cables of 30M, 40M. Only people with technical know-how can steal this.

Do you know that it was rumoured that to stem this tide of massive stealing, Dangote invited one of his trusted security staff to come and be CSO of the refinery. That one got there and joined them in stealing cables. One day, they caught some cable thieves and those ones said he is one of those who supports them from the inside. When they called him to come, he committed suicide out of shame.

So, Dangote get him own, Nigerians too also get their own.

Business is not run by emotions. Even if his son is an engineer but not competent enough, a smart person wouldn't just employ him/her.

Competence is not just about executing the task. It also involves Dedication, seriousness and if you can be trusted, because this would play a major role to the success of any business.

Unless you want to play dumb, you should know the challenges when dealing with the average Nigerian. You cheat, defraud, go around things then call it street, smartness... And so on.
