I would not encourage anyone to take such risk......but let be frank with ourselves 9ja hard. I'm an undergraduate, I took 3 to market this evening, I can't see one single thing I bought that make me not have a single penny with me right now. 5k as at now is just like you're holding #500 I swear. When I return form buying what I went to buy, i girl in my neighborhood walk up to me and was like " mo ti wa wo UI. Nile" I have come to look for you at home.....I was like ...okay ...hope no problem. She said I should help her with #100 ....I just laugh told her I've spend all I have o, I no get Shi Shi to help you with. That's what people are passing through....9ja don cast. |

xandy84: Next time, don't lie brazenly on the Internet. Brazilians are moving to the US illegally yet the visa refusal rate for Brazilians is less than 20%. I'm not here to make you or anyone happy with my posts. Just don't lie, that's all. |

erico2k2: That's the problem with illegal migration and not going to school. A black African who has a BSc and knows Portuguese or strives to learn it then move to Brazil to obtain a MSc degree would live a better life than in Africa. That's an undeniable fact. The people you met are illegal migrants or uneducated migrants who most likely don't have the Brazilian passport. A Brazilian passport holder can move to anywhere in the EU visa free. For a country to enjoy visa free access to EU nations means she is above middle class status. When you people write these things, do well to explain the nitty-gritty of what you wrote. grandstar: Botswana has one of the highest unemployment rate in Africa. That's an undeniable fact. Please do some research. Also, Botswana is Apples to Oranges when compared to Brazil. Additionally, it's not easy to migrate to Botswana as a West African. In fact, I dare say it's easier to migrate to the UK as a Nigerian than to Botswana. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Yes, lots of immigrants are living in Brazil as a pass-through to the USA. Those who are in Brazil to stay and work did their research and figured out what to do. If you learn the language and have work authorization you can see available jobs on several portals like https://gupy.io/ with over 4,000 companies across over 20 different industry verticals listing their openings and you also have catho.com.br, empregos.com.br, hbne.com.br. Others are indeed.com.br, careerjet.com.br, infojobs.com.br. Brazilian newspapers also list jobs e.g. Gazeta Online, and A Tribuna. Popular jobs for qualified foreigners include banking/fnance roles, IT specialists, Builder, Engineers, Oil and gas workers, and Space and nanotechnology researchers. The most common job for people in-between jobs or trying to find their feet is teaching English. While the unemployment rate in Brazil is around 9%, the informal sector is where you find many people including immigrants servicing the huge population (that's where the cluster of Nigerians you see in Sao Paulo belong). The biggest employers within the formal sector are Ford Motor Company, Microsoft, and Brazilian companies like Petrobras, Ultrapar Participacoes, Vale or Banco Bradesco. The public service pay very well but jobs are limited to Brazilian nationals. erico2k2: 1 Like 1 Share |

Chuwagold:Not that I know of, my contract in Brazil ended several years ago. Also, people are definitely wary of helping bring anything including documents to or from Brazil due to the bad eggs among us. You just have to ask around within your direct circle. |

planetx:Where did you get that from? Can you provide any link/proof of that? Brazil is one place that shocked me about their attitude towards moving to Brazil. The US Embassy was almost empty the few times I went there. These are the known largest groups coming through the Mexican border: nationals of Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, Venezuala, Ecuador, Nicaragua, and Haiti. Brazilians come in also but when you factor in their population, it's just a super tiny fraction and nowhere close to the countries I mentioned. |

Shikena:Bro you still did not tell us the kind of job available for a Nigerian My point is no professional would open thier eyes and go to brazil to work English teaching is the nearest best thing. Now ask yourself how long it will take you to learn teh language up to A levels grade. Learning the language on its own is a challenge let alone writing it.To even get a SIm card to put on your phone is a challenge as you need a national ID card and number for that some sort of NIN thing, so all fru I was on Wi-Fi or a satellite phone. Bro compared to other countries of the west these are third world countries. We as Nigerians are some worth too much to spend our money brains and resources to say migrate to Brazil if not for tourism, and guess what its damn way expenssive to go there from Nigeria flight tickets alone can set one back N13million plus. |

I have provided the info above, I don't know what your expectations are and I don't know which country open up a portal and say THESE JOBS ARE MEANT FOR NIGERIANS. As an immigrant, you go in with no expectation and find your way. If your concern is if Nigerians have good jobs in Brazil, yes they do and there are several professional groups across different Brazilian cities including Brasilia, Sao Paulo & Rio. English teaching: Nigerians are working warehouses in America until they have documents, some are working in African restaurants. English teaching is better in my opinion and many Nigerians do it effortlessly after a few months in Brazil. SIM Card: Have you ever asked yourself if it's easy for foreigner to get SIM card or Wi-Fi in Nigeria? Forget foreigners, you think it's easy adjusting to Nigeria for Nigerians living abroad? erico2k2: |
