t2luv1: There is infact two. 1) the gas pipeline, Nigeria wanted to be the alternative to Russian gas. Europe wants to lessen its reliance on said Russian gas. 2) Niger's stability is important to Nigeria's security since all weapons from niger flows into Northeast Nigeria where boko haram happens to be located. What a surprise. Stabilizing Niger will ensure peace for those in Northeast Nigeria. |

Kukutente23: In January, 2017 during Buhari term. Ecowas soldiers entered Gambia after the ex-president, Yahya Jammeh, wannabe dictator refused to stepdown after he lost a democratic election to Adama Barrow in 2016. The East African Federation should get some damn balls and do the same thing to Uganda and oust the brutal dictator using force. |

TookDownYourMum: Your details are wrong. The army was invited by Adama Baro the new president after Jammeh left based on diplomatic solutions. They are there to guard the president and not as a fighting force. Even at that, I expect Buhari wrote to the Senate for permission before the troops were deployed. If he didn't, it is clearly illegal. Just because the rubberstamp Senate failed to call him to order does not make it less so. |
