While you were hyping Living in Bondage in the east, several decades before then had been Nigerian films that were block busters that you never knew because such technology which had gained ground in Yorubaland had not reached the East. Nobody in the whole Eastern Nigeria has even seen let alone watch TV until later.

To be candid igbo developed it in early 2000 cos personally i watched igbo movies back then than yoruba movies. I knew d likes of Emeka ike, Jim, Saint obi ,Tom west and co.. I think d limiting factor dat hindered their progress was their inability to grow new set of stars nd build d platform for them. but yoruba took over at a point ,and those small actors they trained are more versatile,dynamic and prolific...see d likes of Odunlade, Kunle afolayan, Chatta, Femi adebayo,Gabriel afolayan and Lateef adedimeji..
