not entirely true but the thing is, studying medicine or any other related courses doesn't automatically put you in the position where you cater to people's health... you will have to undergo series of training and experiments before you can be a qualified doctor, so the experienced ones are the ones you mostly meet at the hospital while the young ones are still undergoing training... 2 Likes |

When you go to South Africa Mozambique Zambia Tanzania and Namibia you will find in tyre fitting and talking with Nigerian prostitutes. You can find a little bit of them in state and federal government hospitals, while most of the pretty ones relocate abroad. Most private hospitals chooses to employ the services of nurse-eliza, better known as auxiliary nurses, so to save cost. Na why, anyhow looking nurses flood our healthcare. 2 Likes |

If you want to see classic nurses in Nigerian hospital you would have to go to a big private hospital like Zenith kidney center Abuja, Reddit hospital Lagos, or big government hospital like garki hospital Area 3, Abuja. |

The Truth is, Most Nigerian Nurses are usually confined to their chairs on the wards. Therefore, their mobility is largely limited. This enhances fluid retention and weight gain. Many become Christian Mothers & compound matrons even before getting married not to talk of getting pregnant. Immobility is man's great enemy but many wouldn't accept that fact. Again, the percentage of Nigerian Nurses hitting the Gym b4 or after work is insignificant and not appreciable. American and UK Nurses never sit down. They are always on their toes working for that 8hrs they have clocked in for. Most Nigerian Nurses shed a whole lot of weight on resumption of duty abroad. It's a known fact. |

This is quite true to some extent. Some matrons and CNO'S are actually very fat and sometimes I wonder why but the answer isn't far fetched. They work less hours compared to doctors, they don't do straight days calls like doctors. Some just sit down all day without doing exercises (sedentary lifestyle) and many more factors contribute to them having weight. However, this is not perculiar to all nurses, some get beautiful and slender as they age older. Useless, majority of these second categories of nurses are those who Are intentional about their body shape and size |
