There are some lucky people in Southwest, majorly those connected to the centre and those lucky enough to follow who know road (Igbos). Please dont get me wrong.
Igbos excessive hustling spirit have helped many Nigerians to be self-reliant. The south westerners who are lucky are less than 5%. More than 90% are languishing in abject penury. You see these unfortunate ones in the city slums and the remote southwest areas. Most of southwest regions are remote areas, aside the state capitals
There are lots of them who find it difficult having one meal per day and they are not in the IDP camps.

The truth is, southwest has always been this way. The pre-colonial and colonial days promoted aristocracy, a term i rather call elitism - the dominance and suppressive control by the ruling class. It has continued till this day.
The system believes in the suppression and subjugation of the poor masses through tribal, religious and traditional control that the poor masses in irony fight for the sustainance of the terrible system.
This is the faith of majority of the south westerners and it will still take more decades, if not centuries to overturn

The yoruba obas and ruling class deliberately kept over 9 million yoruba sons on the street to collect taxes in the name of owo mi da. The obas could have sponsored these sons to learn cheap soft skills like graphic design or web development to empower them, but they rather keep them in the streets so that can be used for ballot box snatching.
The yorubas have been enslaved by their criminal ruling class, just like the Fulanis.

Before Nigèria, other ethnics group were existing, doing well in business and building successful kingdoms whereas the lgb0s hid in their hamlets and villages exchanging yams for fish and vice versa.
All of a sudden, the lgb0s are the ones teaching those ethnic groups business and developing those places yet they can't stay in their places to develop it.

That's exactly what u are doing now.
So many nwa boys who didn't finish primary school flooding other regions.
But u will deny, in this age and era, u are seeing a man in his thirties saying he is the first medical doctor in his entire village in SE.
U will see lgb0s sharing testimony as to how they are the first to ever get admitted into a higher institution in a very large family.
I know a friend whose younger is in the university because they don't want a situation whereby nobody attended school in their family as that is what they inherited from their parents.
Somehow, u folks come online to talk about how u are so literate while other regions are not.
Whereas the iIIitrates who cañ't read and write from your region are flooding other regions on daily basis.

Yorubaa don't like discussing or addressing their problems like Igbos do. When Meth was happening Igbos openly discussed it without shame and tackled it head on but not Yorubaa, they will keep hiding it until it swallow them like skull mining epedemic and erosion of education among their youths now following thuggery, music and yahoo.
