This is only a temporary measure. Shey the 7billion dollars they borrowed to back the naira will finish? Just give it 2 months highest and we go back to status quo. I pray Nigeria can start producing so as to earn the much needed Forex to back the naira.

The hypocrisy of some Nigerians is just out of imagination.

When the Naira was falling, the haters and evil wishers of Nigeria kept rejoicing and condemning the country and calling the leaders very bad and unprintable names. Now that the naira is appreciating against the dollar. Nobody will praise the leaders of the economy again.

Some of this hatersof Nigeria just want only bad things to befall this country.
Hypocrisy will not kill this country. We will continue to stand strong and become victorious.

When it is good nobody celebrates and when it is bad they rejoice.
bring it back to 750 that Buhari left it or 200 that Jonathan left it before we can rejoice with you

Good development. Good job Mr President. As far as it's continues like this, I will praise the president.

Anything negative, I will criticise him as he was the one that begged to be voted for. We didn't drag him there

Those hoarding dollar should be careful. This is called “operation testing the waters” after which it would be allowed to exceed 1300 to a dollar to allow those at loose now regain their trapped funds. Then the next time it’s dropping we will never get to this level again. It will be a brutal and fast drop. Godbless Nigeria.
Hahahaha, Nigeria has very low export rate and high import rate, dollar will always be high!

Go and sell your dollar, the peak time for dollar to go up was August, September and October, because we had very high demand during these period since most traders source for more dollars within these period to place order for good they want to sell during this December period.
So from November, dollar demand tends to reduce a little bit, also by December many people abroad will come home with some dollars as well.

So I don't think we will have a very sharp further increase again, rather we should have a stagathering drop.

The reason for the rate increase is because of those warehousing dollars to create artificial scarcity. It is not the demand for dollar. Let them continue, some people will really burn their fingers quite badly.

Just shush it already pls. Do you think this is the first time the Naira I'd gaining strong stride against the dollar? The problem is this gain ain't sustainable as a matter of fact it's superficial and will likely crash and worsen. So it's too early to hail the government, you are too quick to congratulating the government when it's barely even a week since this development surfaced. Let's observe till January next year before we can be sure this is near sustainable.

Make I laugh those that have been sabotaging government efforts in stabilizing the Naira and are usually the first to post any negativity regarding the Naira grin

The ignorance of our youths is decriable.
Many people are into business and forex and transactions that are killing the Naira every day, yet they are blaming the FG for what they are responsible for.

Some are actually ignorant of the consequences od their actions. While some are wickedly profiting off destroying the economy for their selfish gains and agenda.

But God is faithful. Karma also comes with receipts.

But government did not do anything to make Naira depreciate astronomically. It is all the handy work of speculators warehousing dollar. After all Nigeria has not embark on any major project requiring significant dollar injection in the last 3 months.

The CBN is only putting in temporary measures. And it may not stand the test of time. The only way to strengthen the Naira is for Nigeria to increase productivity, increase capacity, and become export-oriented.

God bless Nigeria
