I love Afang, atama, Editan, edikan ikong soup, usung ikpong(pounded yam made out of cocoyam), anem ye akang (I don't know how to literally translate this in English, but those from Akwa Ibom will understand) . All these are my native Ibibio soups and food and I love them so much.

1. Onunu with Fisherman Sauce. Sauce must have seafoods like Prawns, oysters, periwinkle, etc. But no mudskippers. I hate their tiny bones.

2. Abacha with ogiri, kpomo, dices meat, and fish. Lots of onions, garden eggs. Between Palmwine and beer, I don’t know which blends the most with this. But I think my choice is palmwine.

3. Pounded Yam and ANY VEGETABLE RICH SOUP (E.g. Eforiro, Afang, Edikaikong). It must have orisirisi. Snails, diced kpomo, full kpomo, periwinkle, prawns, fish, beef, dried fish like mangala, okporoko, etc. Give me this with just a bottle of Water.

4. Suyaa (with Desperado or Smirnoff) Don't tell me Suya isn't a local delicacy o. You will be very wrong. When I want to open my sinuses, I take it with Arabian Tea (chai) from A Hausa Chai Maker. Like I hinted earlier, I don’t miss adding my favorite drinks to the Suyaa. Desperado or Smirnoff Ice.

Allow me have these and you have given me 50% Peace.
