Ofadaman: You lack the ability to understand simple things. Btw, who told you i'm in Nigeria? What my post meant was that sky crapper cleaners and other people in that category can't earn 5-6pounds/month in the UK, as you wrongly claimed. That's the salary of senior workers and professionals. |

YoshihideSuga: I do not think so, he was doing well, a young guy in his early forties. He already has two houses one on rent and lives in one(duplex) solar-powered and CCTV (just trying to portray how well he was doing). He has three kids, the bills were too much school fees and all, and the other business is on in Nigeria. I believe he would have lived a better life here in Nigeria when the kids have gotten to a stage where he can send them off to the UK for their masters OR he would have travelled alone and sent money back home. |

michlins:Let me repeat, People who told you they are broke are not, they are just broke for you, they use that to scope people. Nigerians abroad are very proud people, and we have done exceptionally well amongst black migrants you have no idea.A single man hustling solo in the Uk is by far beter Economically than a single man hustling solo in Nigeria. In al who wears the shoe knows where it hurts cannot .next time that man you are talking about complains or uses negative phrase when you are in convo with him just tell him you will love to swap position with him he will stop talking. No let me leave this with you. No poor man can Japa as it involves enormous funds to do soe.I bought my ticket 5 months ago to return to 9ja Lufthansa to PHC direct, it cost me £1100, which is N1,6m todays rate. Common sense must tell you, we have water and Grass here, would you want to make it greener is the big question |

Fredfr33zy: I think that was the issue sha. Surprising to see people sell their hard earned assets to work odd jobs overseas. |

Jewessgratitud3: So if you don't have hopes of getting a job, why not use the millions spent on japa to establish here? |
Re: Japa: From Bank Manager To Skyscraper Cleaner by medicaljobadver: 4:44pm On Dec 17, 2023 |
His starting point. In three years he could have surpassed his Nigerian status. |
Re: Japa: From Bank Manager To Skyscraper Cleaner by TenQ: 5:47pm On Dec 17, 2023 |
bolabizzle:Smart move. Skyscraper cleaners earn very well. You need to be trained and certified both medically and professionally to be fit before deployment. |

Dshocker: Most people borrow to japa and if they use the money to establish here the may run into debt. So better to japa with the money where you can recover it and pay back Get my drift? |

ChybuzzDD: Who cares where you are, you can be in the antarctic or inside sahara desert ,your life , your choice. Oga my last two jobs have been 3.5k and 4k pounds remote, and I'm no senior officer or professional. Una go just dey blab anyhow, how much do you think fire fighter and electrical /construction workers earn a month in the UK, it will pay a bank manager salary here in Nigeria three times. |
Re: Japa: From Bank Manager To Skyscraper Cleaner by unmask: 5:43am On Dec 18, 2023 |
Jewessgratitud3:Well it depends on how much he earned as a banker and how much he earns now. Sky scrapper cleaner is a risky job and will get rewarded for the risk. The problem is classism in Nigeria. We feel some jobs are beneath us because it carries no fancy title. |
Re: Japa: From Bank Manager To Skyscraper Cleaner by Jewessgratitud3: 8:21am On Dec 18, 2023 |
unmask: That's what I'm equally saying. From Cool and safe job to a risky one though the pay is higher. It's also the way the op put it that spells comparison and make it look like one is more classy than the other. The same person will not do this kind of job here because of this mentally but is gladly doing it over there |
Re: Japa: From Bank Manager To Skyscraper Cleaner by unmask: 10:08am On Dec 18, 2023 |
Jewessgratitud3:I think the major problem is handwork here is not as rewarding as it is over there. If sh*t packing paid more than banking, a lot of bankers will go there 1 Like 1 Share |

Are degrees not important there? casualobserver: |
Re: Japa: From Bank Manager To Skyscraper Cleaner by casualobserver: 3:08pm On Dec 18, 2023 |
Love800: It depends on the industry. You have to be specific. Ofcourse if you are looking for a job as a doctor, a lawyer, a pharmacist, an engineer, you need a degree. In IT nobody cares. Even in accounting you don’t need a degree, you can go straight to do your ACcA or ACMA. In most other non professional jobs (even in Nigeria) nobody really cares about your degree except to show you are educated and can think. 1 Like |

casualobserver: You know why you make me laugh? I can show you PhD jobs in the same US that pays minimum wage. Does that mean you should not study for PhD? Check indeed or any job board and every profession has ridiculous salaries. There is money in sanitation even though it is the most basic job to be done. Lawyers are earning big, lawyers are earning small. Na you go find your way. There's no need to argue sir. 1 Like |

correctguy101: There is something that made Elon monetize his platform and that is why he is bS the advertisers today on Israel war. He has enough money but the problem is that we will not know who is using the platform for truth because sponsors will take over. ariesbull: People can live how they want. This guy could have dreamt of living a life like this. The problem with Nigerian education system is that every one concentrates on one thing. Today it is IT, tomorrow it is blogging. He has transferable skills from this profession alone because not everyone can climb 20 ft, stay up there despite bad weather, risk falling amidst others. Are you aware he can travel to Dubai and other cities to clean windows with his experience? He can travel to where he is paid more. This is why I laughed at the other guy saying that I am giving motivational speech. People don't like following their journey, they like noise. This job is one they fly people in to do and no be everything you go see online. Why some cooks de earn pass Iya Bose Canteen? Shey iya bose no fit cook sweet soup? Person wey de chop no go tell you which sauce he add for soup. Na secret sauxe. |

NOwazobia:You are not far from the truth but just the way you are complaining is how the people are complaining abroad about their politicians, interest rate and inflation. Some of them have japa to other countries but they know their country. People are free to move but to present the situation like we will all die tomorrow, I greet you. The thing wey de make Asians de flock enter the country na im we suppose ask say one man poison na another daily bread. No country is perfect. As war de Libya, Somalia, Syria, Palestine, some people still de there and love it there. Those wey wan comot go comot. life is what you give to it. |
