At least he falls sick he'll get a benefitting health care

And what will become of him at 60 years over there ? Hahahahah...he will be thinking of coming back home and by that time his colleagues who retired well as bankers in Nigeria would have left him far behind in life

That's one of the top paying jobs abroad because of the safety risk. To clean window no be small and if it makes you happy, good. Nigeria should let people be paid for their skills so unemployment can reduce. I wish Seun pays jobless people here to help the economy.

To those who always judge japa, many of you suffer from low self esteem. The land is green where you water the grass. If Naija bad for your eye, everything you do go bad, u no go see good thing there. Focus on your life wherever you are and stop wasting your time worrying about others.
The national average salary for a High rise window cleaner is £23,053 in United Kingdom.

That's a shit.ty pay for a high risk job.

Before opening your dirty mouth to judge ask yourself how much is being made in both businesses, im sure the cleaning would make x3 or x5 of bank manager in naija, a legit bank manager without runs probably makes 400 to 600 here...

The cleaner there i believe makes 50k yearly on the average with enough time for other jobs, na to work 5 years and retire...

Dignity in hustle . . . E no mean smiley

Well said, in addition, there is a risk premium attached to cleaning skyscrapers therefore he would make more money than a bank manager abroad in fact. Unlike here in Naija where risky jobs don’t pay.

Just got word from a friend about someone who made the move from being a bank manager in Nigeria to working as a skyscraper cleaner in the UK. 😕

Smart move or not?
SMART MOVE, he already has an investment brain, now he has to make money fast to incur initial Investment, if you know you know, I will only give him 3 years in this Job as he is already a smart man.

it's not about the work. Compare the salary as a bank manager here with the amount he's making there as a skyscraper cleaner in the UK. Which is bigger?

When black man think of the west they think of joining the white man on the throne immediately. Were as the reality is that you go straight down to the the base in line with intellectual/ financial pecking order.

You were the smartest man in your village maybe. But here in the city, you just another village man.

If that former manager will want you to "off the mic" when it comes to what he does abroad, their-in lies the true answer.

The truth is that considering the dollar to naira exchange, the pay out there is huge but because you are spending it in their economy, your rat race just begun!

Fortunately, he's earning more. Though, a more physical job.
2 of my friends too.
1 a bank manager too, in a major location, is doing care job. Currently earns more than he ever did as a bank worker and has more access to a soft life.

The 2nd one worked for an international organization. Big boy life in Naija. Now a factory worker but actually earns more than he ever did. Kids education is more quality than what he was getting in Nigeria, even with the high school fees he was paying. 400k/kid.
As long as they're coping, God speed

We are too judgemental in this part of the world. We don't even care if he wasn't happy with the bank manager job he was doing here and moreover money is the biggest motivation to an average Nigerian,so he could probably be earning more as a sky scraper cleaner.
