How much is like 300 watt solar panel on average in Nigeria?

Lets say it's around N80,000. Let's convert this to dollars, which would be about $88.

Now, your government claims you are a poor country, and you have to WAIT to see any benefits as a citizen, yet the same government will spend $500,000 for Hotel bills for a week.

Now, how many 300 watt solar panels can $500,000 buy?

$500,000 = 5,681, 300 watt panels.
--------
$88

How many watts can theoretically be generated from 5,681 300 watt solar panels?

5,681 x 300 = 1,704,300 watts = 1,704 kilowatts ~ 2MW

This could power a University, multiple Universities, Hospitals across a state, many many homes.

Yet your leaders will tell you that the reason your Universities don't have electricity in 2024 is because, blah blah blah..., meanwhile the same leaders that just told you 5 mins ago that we are broke, are willing so burn $500,000 in a week, just like that.

My own is that, why do these evil politicians still have avid supporters? I can understand somewhat if you are getting paid like them legendhero and the rest, but those you meet on the street, that claim "our brother", like, what is wrong with those type of people? Mosquito is biting you, you can't pay bills, but you are voting for "our brother", chai

Stop ranting like a woman. Internet ranting will not change anything. You go 😭 tire.

U til you Nigerians realize that only protests and determination to die to remove these politicians will anything change.

U til then keep typing nonsense Epistles on Nairaland and Twitter una go tire 🤣🤣🤣

"I humbly remind the President that he is now a public national asset. Therefore, all his movements should be public knowledge and matters of public interest. Even when he needs a private visit like a holiday, family gathering, etc, he should state so, which is graciously allowed, but private visits, like the one he has embarked on now, should be done at his expense and not at public cost."

This is the heart of the matter. In civilized world where government owes some level of respect for the citizens, the whereabouts of the President at all times must be open. If he is visiting his doctors, it is announced, if he has any health condition that will demand his absence from duty, his employers who are the electorates will be informed. But here the President is entitled to fly the world around on public expenses and you as a citizen will never be informed.

Well said Mr Obi on this.

Even though I know you will fall short of the same hypocrisy, this one you said is spot on.

Hoping others can emulate till Emilokan hears and confirm.

Even though this Agulu-packaged fraud loser is just seeking the attention that he craves, he's right on this one.
If the President is going to travel and keep the itinerary secret as to the nature of his visit, then he should do that on his own dime. Not on the public's money. Anytime Public money is being spent then we need to know all the facts, even though Obi refused to give full details when his driver was caught in Lagos with N250 MILLION NAIRA in the booth of a car while he was Governor. Obi just danced around it and claimed that he was going to pay a contractor with the money. But when the Anambra House of Assembly started to look into the issue, Obi simply told them to get lost.
So a man who was never committed to full accountability for public funds should not be one asking others for the same.

Where you part of those who donated? And after donating, and the election was over, if you are a donor, are you saying there was no account or audit carried out and report sent to donors?

Peter Obi is right to a large extent here. I don't know how sincere he is tho but he is not wrong except that once informed that the president is on a private visit you really dont need to know what he is going for exactly. Private is private.
