Johnjustice: It's obvious ,you don't know what you are talking about. Was it not the IMF that advised The Nigerian government to de -regulate the telecom sector and allow more private investments in all sectors of our economy? And today the telecom sector is creating thousands of direct and indirect jobs while paying billions in taxes and revenue to governments. Same thing occurred in our insurance and pension sectors The IMF also advised our government against operating and running those refineries, which is obvious to any honest person that governments have no business operating such businesses. In the Western world , companies and individuals pay heavy taxes, the sad issue in our case is that, increased revenue through taxation or oil or whatever means does not translate to better governance or standard of living for us, the IMF is not responsible for the corruption of our leaders. I support subsidy removal and increase taxation of the upper class, if only the revenue would be properly used. 2 Likes 1 Share |

blueAgent: Every Nigerian wants Tinubu out of power. In a parliamentary system of government, all members of parliaments would be getting calls by now demanding for A VOTE OF NO CONFIDENCE on Tinubu. A Successful vote of no confidence means Tinubu is gone |

blueAgent:You no get sense, wetin you need IMF to tell you what to do for? You seem very ignorant and young. Every intelligent person knows that since we started collecting loans from IMF, and they came with all their open borders, trade liberalization policy, this made Nigeria become a lazy importing nation, we got used to being a dumping ground because IMF will force you to open your borders for their American and European exports... Nigeria had no zeal to produce anymore...hence naira started falling from then till now. Check Nigeria economy before IMF came in...we were producing most of what we eat and use and exporting...the naira was one naira to one British pound, in the early 1980s, our economy had real value then, Nigeria went to IMF to seek loans in the late 1980s, since then till now our currency has been falling. Tell me one benefit of IMF to Nigeria, and don't tell me they asked us to deregulate our telecoms because that is nonsense, we deregulated because it was the thing to do. Even Sir Falana, one of the most wisest and righteous men in Nigeria, has said federal government should ignore IMF, after all these years even a kid sees the tricks of IMF. This is why South Africa joined BRICS, saving their nation and people's wealth, from wasting away. https://youtube.com/shorts/HoO2f_8GoMY?si=d8uYvxkiIjvrTx4e |

blueAgent: They will be recalled and new elections immediately conducted to replace them. Sure you know Israel did 3 elections in one year in 2020?? That's the beauty of the parliamentary system of government. It is simply the Best |

donborg:You still don't get it. Israel ppl are not as corrupt as Nigerians. Liberia had independence in1845 from US, they adopted US constitution, flag and ideas, yet 170years after Liberia is a 3rd world country with little or no rule of law. The issue is not , about having laws or systems in place, of course it helps but , the most important thing is ppls attitude, both followers and leaders towards obeying the law. Do you think tribal and religious sentiments, would allow some tribes to call back their representatives, know the implications on their tribal man, who is the prime minister? 1 Like |

blueAgent: If you say the military will suspend the parliamentary system like Aguiyi Ironsi did in 1966, then I will agree with you. But as long as the parliamentary system of government is at place, with no military coup, the sky is our limit. Liberia's democracy did not last like that of America because the Liberian citizens DO NOT OWN GUNS. Emphasis on 'GUNS' AND WEAPONS '. Why do you think the Democrats wants to disarm Americans.? Cos they want to destroy the American democracy just as Democracy in Africa have been destroyed and bastardised for the last 50 years. But you can't destroy Americas democracy if you have armed citizens threatening you with guns and weapons at every turn. The American soldiers are great but they are a tiny fraction of American population who have 4 times more guns than their soldiers combined. Make no mistake, the day the Americans lose their first amendment rights to own guns is the day they lose their democracy. If they protest they will be gunned down like the Lekki massacre and nobody will do anything about it. Just imagine that the Lekki protesters had guns and weapons like the Americans. Those soldiers would have dare not shoot at them or they will face the consequences of restaliatiin immediately Hope you saw the Black lives matter protests of 2020? Did you see how weapons where freely used and the American police couldn't handle them? Thata how real protests are done. That's why American politicians don't treat their citizens as shit like in Africa. Before the white man came here, in Igbo land, all Igbos were armed with guns. Igbos had the highest number of guns then. The first thing the British did was to confisticate all those guns even before they started imposing taxes. From that time till now, the Igbo Republican spirit, protected by their weapons, have become utterly destroyed. FREEDOM IS BEST PROTECTED BY ARMED CITIZENS |

Never4getU: Where was Okonjo Iweala from? Was she not from the World Bank? During her stint as finance minister with the assistance of the then CBN governor, Charles Soludo and support of the president. OBJ, helped the nation pay off $30bn debt, accumulated $20bn in the Excess Crude Account. The World Bank and IMF are filled with economists from all over the world. The president of Ivory Coast was formerly from the IMF and his country's economy is growing very fast 1 Like |
