Last week I started bolt with fuel of 25k.
After all the drive.
My net income after bolt commissions was 20k.
I lost 5k.
On Sunday I bought fuel of 30k and the thing had enter reserve already and my net income after bolt commission is 26k.
Losing 4k already.
I think I have to give up

I wish you well in this present time of the country

Don't give up, it's just a starting/experience, calm down and continue, and ensure your cab is in good shape and clean...

Re: My Second Week As Bolt Driver by CharlieJoelly(m): 9:43am On Feb 14
Sorry bro, you should have asked from people into it. Firstly, it’s not all app price you will accept. Their some trip you need to negotiate with the rider before going. There are some places you will take a rider to and u will come back empty… those places you rather ignore the ride or charge the customer. Fenk u.

First convert to CNG or go offline once the passenger arrives.

Lol.....I tried bolt work for 1 year ....no gain....the stress on your mind and body, plus the stress in the car doesn't worth it.....the thing don cast, especially with the fuel and dollar hike....you are still complaining in a loss ..your car never spoil, and you haven't had the need to change oil or change a part like shocks absorber ....

Just keep on doing it, and in no time, you will find your feet, and your way around it.

You're still in the learning phase, so see those losses as dues.

Just negodi

Always stay in one cool spot and wait for orders to come in. Quit driving around looking for orders.

Select a hotspot where orders come in frequently.

Cheers!

Bolt is not lucrative anymore like it used to. Most bolt drivers no longer carry passengers online. They pick you and tell you that they want to go offline to bypass the commission. The high cost of fuel has negatively impacted the business.

When you get to where the passenger is that you want to carry beg them to cancel it so u can go off line you wouldn't have to share any commission with the company, na so guys take dey hustle now, in like 10 trips a day do it like 4 to 5 times to gather money
Re: My Second Week As Bolt Driver by olancho: 9:57am On Feb 14
Don’t just drive on bolt app alone get Uber and the rest apps. Avoid long pickups and traffic areas too. Avoid buying bulk fuel because it will discourage you from running around without passengers. Buy 10litres and when it finishes you buy another one. Avoid buying fuel from most NNPC stations forget the 568 naira they are selling it is scam buy from mobil, total or north west there fuel last more than NNPC fuel. Lastly start early and close early too. Don’t be discouraged with time you will master

Drop your phone number. Ideally WhatsApp. I will be supporting your with a token.

No one else should bother me. I won't be moved. I am led to support the OP and him alone. Your stories won't move me.

No be every trip you go Dey accept…
And you can bargain with your passengers before coming to pick them up for a fair price if what is showing in the app is poor…if they don’t accept it….you cancel.

I use bolt a lot and when some drivers explain things to me and I have extra cash to spare….I add money to their fees and learn how to go offline too
Just tell your passengers.
there is a limit to rides you can cancel.

Re: My Second Week As Bolt Driver by oyeb15: 10:15am On Feb 14
That your money will give good income on sure odds.

Eg Today

Bologna vs Fiorentina serie A 19:00
1&over 1.5 = 3.1 odds

Al Makalwon Arab vs Enppi Club 15:00
2 2.3 odds

I drive nowadays to make little money to play. I will buy 15k fuel and make profit of just 3k. If I put dat 15k at 1k each on single sure 2odds , my returns will be better.

Re: My Second Week As Bolt Driver by DIVINEEVIDENCE: 10:16am On Feb 14
OP you must sit down to find out things you're doing wrong.
If na like this, nobody go dey that business by now.

1. Do you drive around aimlessly looking for passengers?

2. Are you buying fuel from stations with 'corrected' meters?

3. What car are you using? Is it fuel efficient?

4. Is the pay you're receiving accurate?

There must be something you are doing wrong.
Suggest you speak with someone who is experienced in the business.
What kind of car do you use and what it's fuel consumption like.

From the amount you stated you spend on fuel I doubt if you operate in Lagos.
I doubt if bolt is profitable anywhere else outside Lagos and Abuja

bros PH BOLT no get head expect Friday night, Sunday and Monday. I have been with bolt since 3years now. we still the receive ride of #700 and the pickup time will be 6 mins (3.4km). no use ph bolt get hope

Why did you make such claim

I have been to ilorin, ibadan and ph.
Most of this states are civil servant states. Their purchasing power is low. Exception for ph

They always have readily available taxi's and buses to board and they come way cheaper.

The bolt driver 98% of the time are always complaining and begging for more money or never able to use their ac, tells you the business is not businessing.

Bolt in this states are mostly used by students, any any business students power is seasonal as they won't always be in school.
