While the details of her death have not yet been reported, Franklin was said to be “gravely ill” earlier this week. Franklin was 76 years old. Franklin, was minister In 1960, at the age of 18, she embarked on a secular career, recording for Columbia Records but only achieving modest success. In 1998, Franklin won international acclaim for singing the opera aria “Nessun dorma”, at the Grammys of that year replacing Luciano Pavarotti. Later that same year, she scored her final Top 40 recording with “A Rose Is Still a Rose”. 4.Franklin’s other popular and well known hits include “Rock Steady”, “Jump to It”, “Freeway of Love”, “Who’s Zoomin’ Who”, “Chain Of Fools”, “Until You Come Back to Me (That’s What I’m Gonna Do)”. 5.Franklin has won a total of 18 Grammy Awards and is one of the best-selling musical artists of all time, having sold over 75 million records worldwide. In January 1967, she traveled to Muscle Shoals, Alabama to record at FAME Studios to record the song, “I Never Loved a Man (The Way I Love You)” in front of the musicians of the famed Muscle Shoals Rhythm Section. The song was later issued that February and shot up to number-one on the R&B chart, while also peaking at number nine on the Billboard Hot 100 In June 1968, she appeared on the cover of Time magazine. In 1985, inspired by her desire to have a “younger sound” in her music, her fifth Arista album, Who’s Zoomin’ Who?, became her first album to be certified platinum, after selling well over a million copies. In December 2015, Franklin gave an acclaimed performance of “(You Make Me Feel Like) a Natural Woman” at the 2015 Kennedy Center Honors during the section for honoree Carole King, who co-wrote the song. Former minister of education, Dr. Oby Ezekwesili has accused political leaders of denying Nigeria the opportunity to grow its socio-economic and political systems. According to her, political elite have failed to implement policies and programmes that ought to have heralded equal opportunities for Nigerians to realise their potentials. Dr. Ezekwesili spoke at the Summit of The Alternative (SOTA), held in Abuja, yesterday. She said, “Nigerians are tired of incompetent political leadership that have succeeded in enriching themselves, instead of the country.” Ezekwesili was emphatic and convinced that the summit would expose Nigerian youths to the level of decadence and incompetence in the political leadership, which, she said, had resulted in slow pace of development in the country. Dr Halilu Shaba, Director, Strategic Space Applications, National Space Research and Development Agency (NASRDA), has urged the Federal Government to consider sponsoring the launch of a satellite to boost agriculture in Nigeria. Shaba made the call on Wednesday at the Annual Space Conference and Exhibition of the Centre for Satellite Technology Development (CSTD) in Abuja. According to him, dedicating a satellite to agriculture will address hunger faced by the increasing population in the country. “The government should look at agriculture as a project and launch agricultural satellite because of its revisiting period. “It should be purely agricultural satellite that will give you information on soil mixture, nitrates nitrogen content and the health of the crop. “Only this will transform Nigerian agricultural system and I can tell you that within one year we are going to be self sufficient in terms of agricultural products,” Shaba said. The director, however, identified that revolutionised agriculture with the application of Space Science Technology (SST) would not be achieved with poor budget to the sector. According to him, properly and consistently financing the country’s satellites will enable effectiveness of the sector. “The government should increase the budget on Space Science Technology and be consistent with it because when you launch a satellite you don’t allow the satellite to expire before you launch another one. “If we look at Nigeria Sat 2, it is meant to have expired now and de-orbited and we don’t have another satellite to replace it. That is not how satellite organisations work. “The country should be thinking of launching more satellites because a satellite at a time is not adequate. “We need satellites on constellations because one satellite hampers our activities; with the right budget we can revolutionalise agriculture,” he said. Shaba said that the SST sector would advance if privitisation was encouraged. He said that synergy between the Ministry of Agriculture and NASRDA would encourage information, data sharing to improve the sector. According to him, the Ministry of Agriculture will liaise with farmers and educate them on the application of the use of satellites in agriculture. “We need a lot of advocacy which the budget is not available but we need to work with the Ministries of Agriculture so that they will appoint extension officers to work with the farmers. “The extension officers will share the information with the farmers, interpret the kind of information sent out because most of them are illiterates.” The conference has as its theme: “Revolutionising Agriculture through Space Science and Technology Application”. Legendary Argentina captain, Lionel Messi has chosen to step down from international football “until further notice,” according to multiple sources. Having failed to take the World Cup title in his fourth attempt this summer, the Barcelona star has made himself unavailable for selection in Argentina’s upcoming friendlies. The decision, which has the consent of AFA president, Claudio Tapia and interim coach, Lionel Scaloni, will remain in place for the rest of 2018 and, indeed, until Messi decides otherwise. The country’s losses in three consecutive finals between 2014 and 2016 – two Copa Americas and one World Cup – didn’t exactly help Messi’s case. He briefly retired from the national team, before returning and single-handedly guiding them to the 2018 World Cup, where they really struggled. Messi managed just one goal in Russia as Argentina crashed out in the last-16 and there has been a lot of speculation about the 31-year-old’s international future. And last night, reports came from Argentina declaring that Messi is taking a break from the team despite interim manager Lionel Scaloni trying to convince him. Governor Abubakar Bello of Niger State has warned government organisations in the state against outright rejection of corps members posted to them. He gave the warning during the closing ceremony of the 2018 Batch ‘B’ orientation course of corps members in Paiko Local Government Area of Niger State. Alhaji Mamman Musa, the state Commissioner for Water Resources, represented the Governor at the occasion. Bello enjoined employers of labour to accept corps members posted to their organisations and provide them with decent accommodation for their one-year national service. “We will not accept outright rejection of corps members by employers or organisations, you should ensure you accommodate all corps members posted to you and provide them with conducive environment,” he said. The Governor then urged the corps members to strive to make positive contributions in their host communities. He also called on them to accept their postings, make positive impact in their places of primary assignment and leave behind projects that would add value to the people of the state. Earlier, Mrs Theresa Arokoyo, NYSC Coordinator in Niger, said that the skill acquisition and leadership training which corps members were exposed to during their orientation course would enable them to be self-reliant after service. She advised corps members to see their service year as a period of sacrifice and adhere to the advice given to them by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) during the forthcoming general elections. “I urge you to be of the highest degree of diligence, discipline and avoid any situation that might compromise your integrity. “You must remain politically unbiased electoral officers throughout the electoral process. “The nation believes in the ability of the scheme to ensure a credible election like your predecessors did, please do not betray the confidence reposed on the scheme,” she said. When Owolabi Oluwasegun, aka X-Lyte, released a song, alleging that he was scammed by one of Davido’s producers, Fresh VDM, people felt it was a publicity stunt. However, the Babcock University undergraduate claimed he paid Fresh some money for a music production and a feature with Davido, but he never delivered the service. He told Sunday Scoop, “I didn’t cook up the story for publicity; I was truly scammed by DMW’s crew members. I had the impression that working with Davido would make me popular. Since I couldn’t get my money back, I felt music was the best way I could express myself. Even if I had gone to report the case to the police, I don’t think they would have done anything about it.” X-Lyte insisted that after making the payment, he didn’t hear from anyone. He stated, “After meeting with Fresh and negotiating, he told me to pay to Kolo, another member of DMW. He then blocked me on WhatsApp and stopped picking my calls. I heard they are fond of such a thing. I recorded the song, Feature Davido, for other up-and-coming artistes not to fall victim.” Admitting that Davido wasn’t aware he made any payment, he said the star singer stumbled on the song and shared it on his social media pages. He said, “ Davido was not aware I paid money. But when I went to their house, I saw Davido . He even shared the song on Instagram and Twitter. I don’t need a refund; I just want to feature Davido. My style is similar to Davido’s style and I like his music.” Davido, who stumbled on the music video, shared it on Instagram and Twitter, calling the attention of Fresh to it. He captioned the video clip, “This is the funniest thing I’ve seen all year. Fresh VDM, you are wanted.” PLEASE READ MORE>>>http://www.mcebisco.com.ng/2018/08/davidos-crew-members-scammed-me-i-had.html Kindly Visit: mcebisco.com.ng

Lionel Messi has been named as the new captain of Barcelona following Andres Iniesta’s departure from Camp Nou. The Argentina international, who already wears the armband for his country, takes over from Iniesta following his move to Vissel Kobe at the end of the 2017-18 campaign. Messi has skippered the Blaugrana on numerous occasions before having been the official vice-captain since 2015, but will now lead the Liga champions out on a permanent basis. Sergio Busquets takes over as vice-captain while Gerard Pique and Sergi Roberto have joined the four-man leadership team, with the quartet all having come through La Masia before graduating to the first-team. Messi will be hopeful of lifting his first trophy as captain on Sunday as Ernesto Valverde’s side take on Sevilla in the Spanish Supercopa. And with silverware having again evaded his grasp at international level during the World Cup, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner will be keen to be lifting more trophies over the next 12 months. Barca lost just one match on their way to winning La Liga last term, and kick off the new season against Alaves on August 18. The Catalan outfit also won the Copa del Rey last season, but Messi, in particular, was left disappointed as they crashed out of the Champions League at the quarter-final stage to Roma. Valverde has moved to bolster his squad in a bid to secure more titles, with Malcom, Arthur, Clement Lenglet and Arturo Vidal all now forming part of the dressing room which Messi will be leading for the foreseeable future. Retired civil servants in Rivers State have taken to the streets of Port Harcourt to protest unpaid three years gratuity and pension owed them. The protesters had placards with inscriptions like; “If you are Mr Project, Know that Retired civic servants are major project”, “Mr Project Pay us our Pension because our people are homeless and our children are out of school”, “We are dying.” The protesters, who were chanting anti government songs, demanded for the payment of their three years gratuity and pension, just as they asked for the removal of contributory pension law. The leader of the protesters, Lucky Atti, at the office of the Rivers State Head of Service demanded the abrogation of the Contributory Pension Law, which he claimed was the cause of the hardship of pensioners. Atti said majority of pensioners had been suffering from different forms of terminal ailment in the past three years. “It is not a curse to be a retired civil servant in Rivers State. It not a crime. Many of us have served for as much as 33years and here we are with nothing. “We can no longer fend for our families. The Governor should do something about this before we all die of hunger and sicknesses. “We have written to Governor Nyesom Wike on several occasions. We have even met with stakeholders, including the religious leaders, to help us talk to him but all to no avail. We have been on this for the past 3years,” he said. Addressing the pensioners, Rivers State Head of Service, Rufus Godwins blamed the past administration of former Governor Rotimi Amaechi for the backlog of pension allowances. According to Godwins, “These allowances are owed by the past administration. The past administration did not remit the deduction of pensions to the pensioners’ agents. But I will take your case to the Governor”. PLEASE READ MORE>>>http://www.mcebisco.com.ng/2018/08/unpaid-pension-we-are-dying-retirees.html Kindly Visit: mcebisco.com.ng

Ex-Big Brother Naija housemate, Ifu Ennada came under fire last night after she penned what she deemed was a call for peace between fellow ex-housemates,Cee-C and Alex. This comes after Cee-C shared a threatening email she received from a troll who vowed to bathe her with acid. Ifu had insinuated in her post that Cee-C was the one who has been sabotaging all the peace efforts she’s made. Ifu Ennada apologizes over Cee-C acid threat post Her post didn’t go down well with many fans and non fans alike, who slammed her.Fellow housemate,Khloe also shut her down. She then wrote an apology top those who misunderstood her,she has also disabled comments on both posts. Since I wrote my thoughts on this lingering issue between Alex and CeeC Fans. I’ve gotten mixed reactions. While some people have called me biased and hypocrite, alot have applauded me for calling for peace between these 2 young ladies and their fans. Acid bath and death threats are not to be taken lightly. My post as crude as it might be was just a public call for peace. One that acknowledged the fact that both parties get threats. A post that expressed how unfortunate all this is. Apologies to anyone who felt hurt by it due to their misconception on what I wrote. We have the capacity to influence our fans. We can’t all be friends, but we can control our people’s action to a certain extent. Dear Fans, we need your help. You don’t have to like us all equally but we need you to stop this Fan War. Let’s press the reset button and move on. God forbid, if you succeed in harming any housemate, justice will prevail and you’d get what you deserve, but your favourite housemate will not share your punishment with you. I’m exhausted from all of this already. Can we all just let love lead? Please. Gladys Osaigbovo-Omon, a 60-year-old woman, on Monday narrated how assassins sent by her United Kingdom based younger sister to kill her changed their minds after she served them food and treated them well. According to The Nation, it was gathered that the alleged assassins were contracted by the victim’s cousin, Osaro, who Augusta Osaigbovo had asked to eliminate her sister for N4.5million. Unable to do it, Osaro contacted a friend of his, Lucky Oboh, who in turn got two men and brought them to Osaro, who gave them details of the victim’s address in Benin City and other useful information. According to the victim, trouble started with her younger sister last year after the latter took her daughter, Mercy to the UK. Unknown to them, Augusta wanted Mercy to become a prostitute in that country and be paying her returns, an idea the young woman rejected. She said: “I trained my younger sister. I took care of her. She is the only one that went to school in our family. I got married early and I took my sister to leave with me. “I showered her with love and care. She was with me until she moved to Europe. No, I was not the one who sent her there but I always prayed for her. “So, sometime ago, she came and said she wanted to take my daughter to Europe with her. She said that’s one way she could appreciate me for all the things I did for her. I agreed and I was happy that my sister was helping the family by taking my child to Europe. “I do not know what happened between them in Europe but it turned out she wanted my daughter to become a prostitute and Mercy refused. They started having issues and she said Mercy should pay her the money she used to sponsor her abroad. “I think my daughter was giving her money every month from the hairdressing work she was doing. But for some months, Mercy could not give her money because she sent money home for my treatment. “My younger sister became angry and went to do fake documents (permit) for my daughter. She also reported my daughter to the police that she was using fake papers. So, when police arrested my daughter, she was questioned and she told the police that it was her auntie that got papers for her. “She said she did not know if they were real or fake since she was new in the country. So, the police arrested my sister and she said my daughter gave her away. She said she would deal with her and that it is her corpse that will return home. “I rebuked her and told her I expected them to live in peace since it is family matter but my sister was still not happy. I did not know that she could go as far as sending people to kill me. “She contacted my cousin, Osaro to kill me for M4.5m. Osaro came to my house with another man, Igbinedion to greet me on July 17 but I did not know that they had come to identify my place so that his accomplice can come back and kill me. “Some days later, Igbinedion and another man came. I prepared food for them and served them. When they finished eating, I now heard them talking to themselves that I was a good woman and that they cannot kill me. They disclosed everything to me and said it was Osaro who contracted them that my sister wanted me dead.” Parading the suspects, Police Commissioner Imohimi Edgal disclosed that the two men contacted to kill the victim were police informants, adding that they leaked the information to the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) Igando, Taiwo Kasumu, Edgal said they were arrested on July 26, describing the incident as a case of human trafficking gone awry. He commended Mercy for refusing to be forced into prostitution, urging parents to be careful those they release their children to. Edgal said: “When the DPO Igando, CSP Taiwo Kasumu, got a whiff of the plans to kill Gladys, he planted two agents provocateurs namely, Igbinedion Ogbevon and Success Ehiosun to play along with the hired assassins. The gang assembled and were paid the sum of N500,000 by Augusta Osaigbovo as a mobilization for the job. The names of the assassins are Osaro Okonobom and Lucky Oboh. “Together, they went to Benin-City in Edo State and identified their target, Gladys Osaigbovo, after which they returned to Lagos and requested Augusta to give them the balance of N4,000,000. It was at this stage that they were rounded up. “Efforts have commenced for the extradition of the principal suspect, Augusta to Nigeria to answer for the crime of attempted assassination. We are working with the Interpol on this matter and will ensure justice was served.” Osaro told reporters that he was being disturbed by Augusta to kill Gladys, adding that he succumbed because the former promised to do something good for him. He said he was also lured by the N3 million he would have gotten if the deal was concluded since the assassins would have collected N1.5m. He said: “When I told Lucky about it, he said he could not do it after which I contacted one Igbinedion who agreed to kill my aunt for N1.5m. We planned to give him N1.5m from the N4.5m we were to collect from my sister so that we can share the remaining N3m.” PLEASE READ MORE>>>http://www.mcebisco.com.ng/2018/08/see-what-happened-after-my-sister-hired.html Kindly Visit: mcebisco.com.ng

He said, “I am still looking for that right woman; a woman who is going to love me for me, not just for my social status or anything; I don’t want to get into any relationship that won’t last. “She should be there for me like a mother and a sister; she should be able to treat me the way my mum is treating me right now. I appreciate my mum so much; she has been very supportive, if I’m to come to this world again, I’d still want her to be my mum.” The actor also said social media had been the best thing that happened to his career. “Social media is the best thing that has ever happened to me. Although I still appreciate my movie background; social media has been the best. I am making it big through social media. Of course, I am not trying to downgrade other platforms I’ve been on but social media has really increased my fan base,” he said. On what inspires his comedy skits, Okorocha added “My slogans come naturally and they are meant to inspire people. Just like my latest slogan called Identity, it is about motivating people to ensure they are identified with something tangible in life. For example, my identity is that I am an all-round entertainer. “I respect my hype man a lot, his role in my videos was a coincidence; it wasn’t planned. I used to do skits alone, so when my new car arrived; he was the one with the camera adding spice to what I said and that was how it all started.” PLEASE READ MORE>>>http://www.mcebisco.com.ng/2018/08/charles-okocha-reveals-kind-of-woman-he.html Please Kindly Visit: mcebisco.com.ng

Senator Abdullaziz Nyako representing Adamawa Central Senatorial district has called on the electorate in Adamawa State not to waste votes on the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2019. He declared that the APC’s lifespan ends in 2019. Speaking in Yola, the Adamawa State capital when the newly elected executives of ADC paid him a courtesy visit in his Jimeta home, he said the APC-led government in the state had been ravaged due to injustice against the people of the state. He said the people of the state had been treated as ‘less mortals’ in the last three years, insisting that political leaders who took electorate for granted should be taught a bitter lesson. The lawmaker was saddened that government of Governor Jibrila Bindow did not take cognizance of heterogeneous nature of Adamawa in his dealings, stating that the state was more divided now than before. The lawmaker opined that the people of Adamawa were the easiest to govern “if their cultural and religious background are taken into consideration by the governor. “We were born here. We were brought up here and we understand our culture as well as our religious beliefs and I can tell you that our people are easy to be governed. “In the last three years, it has been attrition against the people by this administration,” he said. Nyako explained that he was relieved to have defected to the ADC before the Senate went on recess, adding that mass defection by federal lawmakers was a signal to end of time for the APC. http://www.mcebisco.com.ng/2018/08/2019-senator-nyako-urges-adamawa-people.html Please Kindly Visit: mcebisco.com.ng

Kindly Visit: mcebisco.com.ng The World Health Organization (WHO) has conducted a study and ranked suicides per 100,000 cases. Nigeria has 15 percent per 100,000. Although mental health awareness is slowly becoming a mainstay of contemporary media, historically, Nigerians saw depression as ‘White man sickness’ and believed their beer could cure everything. Currently, one wonders how the Nigerian perception of mental health is with stats that rank Nigeria as a top five suicide prone country. On July 29, 2018, Spectator Index published a World Health Organization research that ranked suicide per 100,000, per country. Nigeria placed fifth with 15,000 suicide in every 100,000 suicides. The list was topped by South Korea with 24,000,000, followed by Russia with 18,000,000 then India with a rate of 16,000,000 and Japan placing 4th with 15,400,000. The top completed by the US, France, South Africa, Australia and Canada. Saudi Arabia placed 17th with a rate of 3,900. Leading Factors for suicide While other causes like terminal diseases can lead to resignation and then suicide, it is common knowledge that 90 percent of people who commit suicide suffer from mental illness. Depression is a top risk factor. Bipolar disorder and schizophrenia are also risk factors. A March 20, 2018 article by Luke Onyekakeyah for Guardian Nigeria states that “Nigerians have identified the five leading causes of death to include sickness (26%), poverty (24%), motor accident (16%), malnutrition (7%) and natural death (6%). Poverty and malnutrition go hand in hand and so should be lumped together to make 31%. In other words, going by this poll conducted by NOIPolls Limited, poverty in all its ramifications is the leading cause of death in Nigeria.” In the article, Luke Onyekakeyah pegged the primary reason behind suicides as some kind of frustration, leading to depression. Nigeria is a highly volatile country where hardships are a part of the everyday life. A significant number of Nigerians live below the minimum wage of N18,000,000. Sadly, while hardships lead to depression, other subtle undiagnosed like chemical imbalance are also vehicles for depression. In any case, it all comes down to a lack of awareness. Ignorance to the perils of depression might be a cause for lack of attention. If you don’t know what depression is and that you need help to treat or manage it, you see your suicidal thoughts as your only option. While we salute those already educating people on mental health, we need more hands on deck; more educators on depression, especially in the hubs where people living below the minimum wage reside. Please, check on your friends. For anyone suffering from any mental illness, or has suicidal thoughts, please know that you are not alone. APC National Chairman, Adams Oshiomole, says since Senate President Bukola Saraki, has defected from the party he rode on to become the number 3 citizen in Nigeria, it will be honorable for him to resign his position as senate president. Oshiomole said this while speaking to state house correpsondents after a meeting with President Buhari yesterday August 1st. According to Oshiomhole, it is a matter of honour for Saraki to leave “the crown in the family it belongs to.” ”Whatever is the reason, we can defect from the party but we can’t defect from Nigeria. The only thing is that there are other consequential issues that every man or woman of honour who had taken such decisions would be expected to follow through. I mean you should not collect a crown that belongs to a family and wear it on behalf of the family if for your personal reasons which he has enumerated that he has gone to another family. It is just a matter of honour to leave the crown in the house that the crown belongs to. As it stands even now, the APC is still the largest party in the Senate. We have 53 senators, that is much more than what the PDP has, or APGA has” he said PLEASE READ MORE>>>http://www.mcebisco.com.ng/2018/08/saraki-must-resign-as-senate-president.html

Senate Presient, Bukola Saraki has revealed why he is dumping the ruling party, APC for the opposition PDP In a lengthy write up on Twitter, he wrote; “All entreaties for justice, equity and fairness as basic precondition for peace and unity, not only within the party, but also the country at large, were simply ignored, or employed as additional pretext for further exclusion. The experience of my people and associates in the past three years is that they have suffered alienation and have been treated as outsiders in their own party. Thus, many have become disaffected and disenchanted. At the same time, opportunities to seek redress and correct these anomalies were deliberately blocked as a government-within-a-government had formed an impregnable wall and left in the cold, everyone else who was not recognized as “one of us”. This is why my people, like all self-respecting people would do, decided to seek accommodation elsewhere. I have had the privilege to lead the Nigerian legislature in the past three years as the President of the Senate and the Chairman of the National Assembly”. The emergence of a new national party executives a few weeks ago held out some hopes, however slender. The new party chairman has swung into action and did his best alongside some of the Governors of APC and His Excellency, the Vice President. I thank them for all their great efforts to save the day and achieve reconciliation. Even though I thought these efforts were coming late in the day, but seeing the genuine commitment of these gentlemen, I began to think that perhaps it was still possible to reconsider the situation. However, as I have realized all along, there are some others in the party leadership hierarchy, who did not think dialogue was the way forward and therefore chose to play the fifth columnists. For me, I leave all that behind me. Today, I start as I return to the party where I began my political journey, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). When we left the PDP to join the then nascent coalition of All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2014, we left in a quest for justice, equity and inclusion; the fundamental principles on which the PDP was originally built but which it had deviated from. We were attracted to the APC by its promise of change. We fought hard along with others and defeated the PDP. In retrospect, it is now evident that the PDP has learnt more from its defeat than the APC has learnt from its victory. The PDP that we return to is now a party that has learnt its lessons the hard way and have realized that no member of the party should be taken for granted; a party that has realized that inclusion, justice and equity are basic precondition for peace…” I am excited by the new efforts, which seeks to build the reborn PDP on the core principles of promoting democratic values; internal democracy; accountability; inclusion and national competitiveness; genuine commitment to restructuring and devolution of powers… What we have all agreed is that a deep commitment to these ideals were not only a demonstration of our patriotism but also a matter of enlightened self-interest. What the experience of the last three years have taught us is that the most important task that we face as a country is how to reunite our people. Never before had so many people in so many parts of our country felt so alienated from their Nigerianness. Therefore, we understand that the greatest task before us is to reunite the county and give everyone a sense of belonging regardless of region or religion. PLEASE READ MORE>>>http://www.mcebisco.com.ng/2018/08/update-saraki-reveals-why-he-dumped-apc.html Every Nigerian must have an instinctive confidence that he or she will be treated with justice and equity in any part of the country regardless of the language they speak or how they worship God. This is the great task that trumps all. Unless we are able to achieve this, all other claim to progress, would remain unsustainable. This is the task that I am committing myself to and I believe that it is in this PDP, that I will have the opportunity to play my part. It is my hope that the APC will respect the choice that I have made as my democratic right, and understand that even though we will now occupy a different political space, we do not necessarily become enemies unto one another”. A church member is accusing the founding pastor of Truth Assembly International Church, Owerri, Apostle Love Judah, of a number of things which include fraud and sexual assault. Mrs Lisa Venison, a member of the church, said Apostle Judah deceived her into resigning from her high paying job and career as a pharmacist to come and work fully in his ministry. Read her allegations below: “My name is Pharm.(Mrs) Lisa Venison and I am a victim of Fraud, deceit and sexual harassment. My husband and I were members of Truth Assembly International Churches, Owerri – A place were we thought it was church. The founding pastor, Apostle Love Judah (who is related to me) who always proclaimed himself as God, defrauded his members of their money through his incessant demands of seeds and what not. He sees “prophecies” and asked that we bring a seed for the prophecy to come to past. A common statement he makes is “bring a seed 2-3 times your age”. He is a selfish individual and does not approve of his members doing anything contrary to his belief. He spoke against going to school(meanwhile his children are currently schooling in the U.S), he also asked members of his church to resign from their jobs and come and spend time in the house of God yet he was still asking for seeds. He made me resign from my highly paid job and a very successful career because he said he saw a ‘vision’ that i should do ministry with him. Apostle Love Judah defiles young women and sleeps with wives of his members/pastors and threatens them with death if they tell anyone. He has been in this act until recently, 2 of the young girls who he deceived and made them leave their parents to move to his church, confessed that he has threesomes with them and beats them afterwards if they don’t oblige to his further demands. They are scared to come out in public because of his death threats but I have reached out to their parents. Other women also have the same story to tell. He made advances at me(which I have proofs of) which I declined but having recently gotten a lot of info and proofs of his escapades with young women and people’s wives, I won’t rest till he is brought to book. I am a wife, future mother to girls(who could have being his victims) and boys(who need to see an example of men like this being brought to book!), so I can’t take chances. P.S: He has absconded to the U.S (Dallas) with his family(wife, 2 teenage daughters and 2 teenage boys) to continue his evil agenda. He has started deceiving a new set of people in Dallas but I can’t let him waste another set of lives, money, resources and mess with people’s beliefs. He needs to be stopped!” PLEASE READ MORE>>>http://www.mcebisco.com.ng/2018/07/scandal-popular-pastor-accused-of.html

Senate President Bukola Saraki has reacted to the comment made by Kaduna state governor, Nasir El-Rufai, that he leads the worst senate house Nigeria has ever had. In an interview with Punch, Saraki who spoke via his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Yusuph Olaniyonu, said El-Rufai is a careless talker who is suffering from diarrhea of the mouth. ”El-Rufai is a known careless talker. He is a man suffering from diarrhoea of the mouth. You (one of our correspondents) report the National Assembly on a daily basis. Is it possible for the name of a senator to be announced as having defected without him or her signing the letter communicating same to the Senate President?” “We challenge el-Rufai to mention the name of any senator whose name was announced without his or her consent. He (el-Rufai) is a divisive element, an expert hero worshipper and noisemaker.” “He worshipped (former President Olusegun) Obasanjo once the way he is now worshipping (President Muhammadu) Buhari, and now he is on the forefront of abusing the former President. It will soon be the turn of Buhari to be rubbished by el-Rufai. He did the same to ex-Vice President Atiku (Abubakar).” he told Punch PLEASE READ MORE>>>http://www.mcebisco.com.ng/2018/07/he-is-careless-talker-suffering-from.html

A newly elected All Progressives Congress Chairman has been brutally murdered by gunmen in Imo state. A photo of Sunny Ejiagwu, the All Progressives Congress chairman in Ideato North Local Government Area killed by unknown gunmen has been revealed. Mr Ejiagwu was murdered, four days after he was elected as the APC Chairman in the LGA, along the Orlu-Akokwa Road on his way home after attending a meeting at the APC Secretariat in Owerri, the state capital. The spokesperson for the Imo State Police Command, Mr Andrew Enwerem, said the police have launched an investigation into the killing. Meanwhile, Imo State Governor Rochas Okorocha has promised a reward of N20 million to anyone with useful information on the killers of a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state. The governor made the pledge on Friday, hours after Mr. Sunny Ejiagwu, the APC chairman in Ideato North Local Government Area, was killed by gunmen suspected to be hired assassins. Also, the Imo State APC Chairman, Daniel Nwafor, has condemned the killing, describing it as unfortunate and unwarranted. Mr Nwafor told reporters at the party’s state secretariate that the murder was capable of causing political chaos in the state. He called on the security agencies to urgently launch a manhunt for the perpetrators of the act. He recalled that the deceased had raised fears over his safety on Thursday during one of their meetings, decrying the volatile nature of his local government. Mr Nwafor, however, called on party supporters in the state to remain calm as the security agencies work to ensure the perpetrators were brought to justice.
