Dani Alves Sentenced To 54 Months In Jail Over Sexual Assault by HonNL: 10:21am On Feb 22

Former Barcelona and Brazilian footballer Dani Alves has been sentenced to four and a half years in prison after being found guilty of sexual assault.

Catalonia's top court found him guilty of sexually assaulting a woman in a Barcelona nightclub in 2022.

He was also ordered to pay 150,000 euros to the victim.

Touching a Woman without her consent amounts to sexual assault, you would think most footballers would know that by now.

The punishment is harsh, considering the fact that the Victim is going to be compensated.

I no dey believe most of this allegations women raise against superstars. Maybe some of them are true, but most of them are a setup.

I just wonder how many footballers can’t tame their sexual urges and be very scrutiny with how they hang out or people they hang with knowing a whole lot is at stake for him. Stories like this just feels sad, all lust of 5-10mins dopamine

A news also graced the front page some days back where someone was charged for sexually assaulting a prostitute... as in I don't understand
The law over there is twisted..
I don't blame them sha, dem no get much problem so they must create one

Self-control would have saved him this. His wife may probably end their marriage while still in prison and he would still pay child support to his ex-wife for their 2 children.

Too bad. Four and half years in jail. With all the money and fame he has, he could easily have enough girls to satisfy him. Sexual assault is a serious crime. He stooped too low.
