Nigeria economy is on autopilot at the moment. The worst thing that can happen to an economy is uncertainty. It can lead to hyperinflation. It is better for exchange rate to be high and remain stable than to rise to say N2000 to $1 and fall to N600 and rise again to N1000 and fall to N800 etc. within a short period of time. This kind of uncertainty is what kills businesses and traders will try to protect their businesses by doubling and tripling the price of goods and services incase. If this uncertainty continues and businesses begin to loose money, a time will come when there wouldn't be goods to buy as businesses become extra cautious of restocking, that is when the real hardship will come. I hope and pray it doesn't get to that. Amen |
