Ewet housing estate
Osongama
shelter Africque
Wellington bassey/Barracks road,etc.

@Dis.sTroy please suggest more for him/her.

SixFeetUnder, as an addiction, here are other areas in Uyo to relocate to which meet the criteria of security and reliable power supply:

- Afa Ube
- Calabar - ITU
- Nelson Mandela
- Nwaniba close to Four Point by Sheraton Hotels (outskirts of Uyo)
- Mbierebe

Awesome for remote work. And if you want to find other techies, you'd find them in these areas too.

Good luck and welcome to Uyo in advance, the city of peace, safety, good development, and the next frontier of tech development in Nigeria. smiley

Come to Uyo let me take you Shelter Afrique, Ewet housing, Asongama, and other private estates that are springing up now.
Uyo, the village that you knew before has evolved to be envied by a pained soul like you.
Continue to hate while Uyo growing we enjoy your tears🤣🤣🤣🤣

Lol. Here you go again... I seriously want uyo to Excell. But this type of overhyping attitude may result to the situation you have in calabar today.
All these baseless comparisons won't do you any good but facts will always be facts.

Get a design for all areas in uyo, show an effort you are implementing those designs across Businesses and residential areas before we can start a conversation on Owerri vs uyo
No one is oberhyping Uyo and remember that Akwa Ibom leaders are not Cross River leaders. Secondly, Akwa Ibom has the money to maintain her infrastructure so what is your point? Ibom Icon and golf coast, e-librabry, specialist hospital, malls, plaza etc were all built more than 10years ago and today they are still standing the test of time and have not been hit by Nigerian syndrome. Tell us another thing biko.

For your information, Uyo/Akwa Ibom has got a master plan that was designed by Arch. Obong Victor Attah, frmr governor of the state, guess you didn't know this.

Beautiful city with high unemployment.
I like them though. They are very content people. So no zeal to go into crime. Their uneducated boys like cultism. That one is to fight themselves, not to attack random individuals or rob homes.

Akwa Ibom is not like other states that everything starts and ends in the state capital.
Eket, Ikot Ekpene, Abak, Oron, Ikot Abasi are other notable places in Akwa Ibom.
You can live in these places without any reason to go to Uyo.

guy keep quiet, how many jobs or business is in all those region u stated? Na infrastructure we go chop?.. Uyo is the only place that's a bit lively there, even the Uyo is not economically viable, it's just beauty with white elephant projects while it's residence live in abject penury.. Have been to Uyo, and I assure u, the level of unemployment in that state is on another level, I doubt one could see a job that pays up to 50k there unless few oil company jobs.

is not the state government that will bring them out of poverty let the uyo people bring themselves out of poverty cos when you are taking about laziness to the highest order they are NO 1 you can never see a shop open in uyo around 9am and when is 9pm they have already closed their men dont work is just only few that are educated is to gather and drink ogoro early morning and their is to team up together and start harassing students collecting their phones

Beyond infrastructure, there's nothing else to say about Uyo or Akwa Ibom safe for their native soup.
