Obakoolex: Mind you Lagos is not a Yoruba word but Portuguese. You guys are quick to claim Lagos forgetting that it was developed with the commonwealth of Nigerians. You are getting away with such claims because people are cowards in this country. By the time, you guys are taught a bitter lesson, you will stop shoving it on people that Lagos belongs to Yoruba. Lagos belongs to Nigeria! |

money121:Ode, sentiments, is what has drowned you into penury. You are actually the one, who has inferiority complex, if you had confidence and bravery about, the yoruba language. You won't have responded in such a bitter way But you understood her expression as an attack. Bush Man |

I like all Nigerian languages, but Yoruba language requires energy for someone to make sense of what you're saying. Igbo language is so romantic in my ear, while Hausa language is so fierce. Urhobo is mild to my ear. Nigeria has quite a lot of languages I have never heard though. |

Because of who she is. But we're not all in similar circumstances, so it's an individual experience. She has spoken from her personal experience. Somebody needs to tell her we Yorùbá people have an identity defined by our culture and language which we can never abandon. To depart from your cultural identity is the sure way of your depreciation and disappearance. We are a nation and so shall we remain till Jesus Christ comes back. We refuse to disappear within the abusive marriage called Nigeria. That's why Nigeria must go back to regionalism or break up. 4 Likes |

YoungLionken:Only someone with a slave mentality think like this. You can tell all European nations to adopt English as their lingua franca.Adopting a foreign language as your own is nothing but slavery ,it means your ancestors meant nothing to You.You want English so your slave master can always hear your secrets. A Swede once told me the best gift you can give your children is your language. |

You might as well leave Nigeria and go to Germany or U.S. Let's see if you would stand out among other girls that look just like you and even better. Here in Nigeria, you stand out because of your mix-breed and the Yoruba speaking. Try your luck elsewhere and see if you won't act nude roles, do porn and still no blow. 1 Like |
