A man showcases an entire empty estate filled with luxurious mansions abandoned in the heart of Abuja. In the short video, several houses are seen in a dilapidated state, prompting many to ask why such beautiful houses or mansions are left abandoned and in such a pitiful state.

We're not discussing ordinary houses or buildings here, but rather mansions in a very large estate occupying vast land in the heart of Abuja. From this video, it's evident that this estate is expansive, containing several beautiful buildings abandoned to decay.

What do you believe is the reason behind the abandonment of these beautiful buildings?

Rent Speculation.
The builders speculate rents higher than in New York or in London. If nobody is coming, they live the houses unoccupied because the houses were not built with bank mortgages, but the houses were built with stolen oil revenues from the Niger delta region. Loads of the people of the three Niger delta region escape from the region because of oil pollution of their waterways and farms.

Meanwhile, Abuja contributes nothing to Nigeria's coffers.

When they say Nigeria is a fantastically corrupt place, they know what they mean.
A country which receives oil revenues from one side of the country but spends the revenues in another side of the country, such is a fraudulent country.

The property remains for their children children.

The estate is owned by BUA everything is fully developed. And it has all the amenities you can think off but I think its pricing that led to it been empty. You can imagine 5bedroom duplex going for 400 million if nah you go go buy. And don't forget the structures are not modern designs.

The estate has been there since abacha era just that it was fully completed some 11years ago but where its empty is because if the expensive price
...but in Abuja they are rich people that can afford it ..buy or rent those mansions/houses...the politicians can afford it and buy or rent the mansion...top executive officers, managing directors, managers working in central bank of Nigeria, NNPC, banks, ministries, top government officials can afford it and buy or rent those mansions/ houses

That's not the issue. The main issue is that the owners of these buildings aren't interested in giving them out or they have specific type of people they want in those environment.

I know one particular area in abuja that they can't rent or sell to southerns . Simply because they believe southerners will influence there children or wives. Most of the people in that estate are rich hausa, fulani and Maiduguri (shuwa)

So no matter how rich you are as a southern they won't sell or rent for you.

Find out the owner you will discover it will be one of those who stole Nigeria money and tie it down with the structure because he couldn't launder the cash abroad.. . Some of these politicians are very wicked .. why not let out the estate if he does not need it. Even his children may never come to Nigeria to take care of the structure.

Live inside first, let’s know how abandoned it is. By the time armed security guards shoot you, you go realize say appearances are deceiving. A truly abandoned building would have destitute people living inside.

It is a normal site in some Estate within Abuja city.
In some Estate with over 500 buildings you find only 7 to 10 people living in the whole Estate.

Some Mansion are wasting while they are people living in shitholes and dustbin in this same Abuja.

Presently, in my street, if you don't have 800 Million - 1 billion just forget owning a property here.

Abuja was design for only the shameless rich class, political thieves, the foolish people, the packagers, the adulterous men like me, the promiscuous women, the born-by-mistake crew, the "Do you know who I am" crew, the Cooperate beggars, the strugglers and shapeless bleaching hookup girls from Southern Kaduna etc.
hehe adulterous men like us, I am not even adulterous I just dey enjoy choiced pussies, very cheap in Abuja

If it's the BUA estate at Kado then the reason for it being empty is simply because of the price. It's one of the most luxurious estates in Abuja and located in a very strategic area.
