It is an evidence, powers that be have hands in the kidnappings.

Gumi and co have hands in the whole kidnapping saga. They feed on the project of kidnapping.

I am still trying to understand how possible it is to abduct a whole 287 human beings at once.

It's simply impossible to gather 287 persons in one place without detection.

Only possible explanation is that they have overrun our security forces & have complete territorial control of the areas they operate.

Children are either on some underground or split into small groups and distributed.

It is a syndicated job. Some shedding crocodile's tears are complicit.

The private negotiator might be terrorist Gumi. Ebola Tinubu derided GEJ back then for failing to tackle insecurity, but in this Tinubu's inglorious administration, he has failed woefully in everything about governance. He is already the worst president in history of the black race.
So far, the title of the worst Nigerian President goes to Buhari.

Komo4dmoney:

The responsibility lies with the state governments, not Tinubu. Governors are tasked with ensuring the security of the people, not the federal government.

Until Nigeria is restructured to allow for State Police, the responsibility for the security of the people lies with the President, not the Governors. Nigeria is running a Unitary system. You should know that.

How possible can 287 pupils be kidnapped without any traces ?

If you have been to the North, you won't be surprised. Many northern towns/communities/villages are sparsely populated, surrounded by mountains that facilitate easy getaways.

I served in the north. Their territorial landmass is nearly impossible to police. They inflate their population figures because they want more resource allocation.

Its coordinated brah..... The distance of the school from the nearest outpost military or police is mostly likely far..... Mostly like roads are not motorable in case of swift response.

Also the area isn't a flat land..... It's rocky, filled with large shrubs and pockets of caves.... This natural attributes creates a natural defense line for the terrorist...... Which implies that an search party will most likely be ambushed.....

If the Air Force was to be used or the army uses it's own Air Force, there's a probability that there will be collateral damage....

There's a myriad of issues..... The terrain favors the terrorist, the victims are natural human shields..... So it gets a bit complicated.

The terrorist now operates on a fragmented system.... Whereby they no more move in droves by rather assemble from different points towards a central point.

But with such large number of hostages, the Government should be able to track them down.

You know they are within Nigeria; you have all the human and technological apparatus to locate and deal with them, yet you've chosen to do business with them.

When last did you people hear this kind of nonsense in the Chad Republic? Their Late President Idriss Darby did it right. He led the Chadian military and de-ratted his country to restore sanity. He carried on the campaign into Nigeria's territory to make sure it was total. He said it was left for Nigeria to complete the onslaught inside our country.

The man said a lot of things which showed the government of Nigeria led by Buhari knew lots about insecurity in Nigeria. What did Buhari do at that time? Nothing, even when the remaining rats destroying some of the women and school girls in their captivity ran back to Nigeria and the security agencies saw all that. They all chose to let them be. But Buhari hurriedly arranged a visit to Darby in Chad, and had a tête-à-tête with him. That was all, the latter was not 'revealing' anything again.

Some months later, there was a coup in Chad and Darby was killed but the coupists lost it because the government remained in the hands of the late president's supporters and his son was installed president in his place.

If Nigeria is not peacefully restructured, the current nonsense will continue and break up is more imminent than expected.

The area is located in a remote region in the North, and this area is sparsely populated.

Seriously, travel in some parts of the North...you can go for miles without seeing a soul...especially in places like Borno and Yobe states.

No wonder they can carry out such action without anyone knowing till after it's done

I even checked Google maps. Not far from the region is a large forest reserve. Zero human settlements. Nice place for hiding.

Only way one can deter such attacks is by having at least ten soldiers or more in every village. Not possible.

North dropped the ball on development as did the.federal government

Tracking is relative..... Some of our EO/IR planes are not updated yet..... The advanced ones that were in Nigeria back was brought in by executive outcome the Private military outfit..... Although it's a fact that most recent acquired Helicopters and drones drones fitted with EO/IR are stretched.... With majority conducting operations in the creeks and waterways...

Also the weather conditions up north are harsh.... Especially during the day time while at night they use Forest areas with trees as shields from detection.... We need drones such as byraktar or AQM which have higher altitude, longer power and superb electronics communications system.
