Man Laments Destruction Of His Plantain Farm By Fulani Herdsmen In Ekiti (Video) by DesChyko: 9:06am On Mar 10, 2024 |
A Nigerian shared a video of his plantain farm in Ikare Ekiti, which was allegedly overrun by Fulani Herdsmen. In the video, all the plantain trees have been brought down, with no fruits in sight. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l_DDLijYiCk?si=TTxBR2B293V5ktlz Food inflation remains a problem in Nigeria, with a current rate of 36% food inflation year-on-year. With farmers unable to engage in farming, or see the produce of their efforts in harvest season, the situation is unlikely to improve. With the government unable/unwilling to effectively combat the menace, it remains a persistent problem threatening the Nation's 200 million population. 19 Likes 4 Shares |

"The first thing to tackle is food inflation. Once we tackle insecurity and farmers return to farms, our food production will go up and inflation will go down through reduced food prices." - Peter Obi 105 Likes 8 Shares |

This is really sad... 2 acres of plantain farm was finished by Fulani cows in Ekiti, simply because they believe they can graze their cows anywhere they like. The suckers he paid for, land he worked hard on for a whole year, all the produce gone like that. If you can't buy farm lands or hay for your cows, you have no business rearing cattle... Anyone going into farming in Nigeria must equip himself with enough security and cameras cos these people are really destroying lives. Most importantly, state governments should set up forest guards and comb the forests from time to time. Governors should stop acting useless and help their people, at least Buhari is no longer president. Enact laws to protect farmers and any herder who damages people's farms should be made to pay for it with their cows! Where do you want Nigerians to turn to if they can't even farm? Maybe everyone should go into crime so we can know what's up! 147 Likes 12 Shares |

So sad, with all these cries, lamentations of hard working Nigerian farmers because of the heinous activities of these Fulani -herdsmen terrorists, yet APC zombie supporters will still be accusing Nigerians of laziness to go to the farm, as the reason for the prevalent food insecurity in Nigeria, ignoring the harsh realities and the risk the Nigerian farmers had to contend with by going to farm. who will help this hard working farmer to offset the loan he collected to do this farming project ? but what is special about these Fulani-herdsmen that the government cannot brutally stop all these their criminal activities in Nigeria ? we saw how FG crushed ESN vigilantes in the south east, even when they were set up to safeguard the people of the south east , against these same terrorists. 23 Likes 2 Shares |

Aolu The solution is to totally ban open grazing and then tackle violators headlong as felonies/terrorists. For states/regions to have the power to enforce such law, the country must be restructured into autonomous federating units i.e. regions, with each region having its own police, resource control, laws, and control over most vital components of internal sovereignty. Simple. 16 Likes |

Kai Can we just look beyond ethnicity and religion, Igbo, Hausa, Yoruba and other tribes in this country, let's join hands together and pursue this evil called APC, breakfast don dey reach everybody small small oooo, politicians are merely taking the masses for a ride without a bit conscience, at the top, ethnicity and religion dont matter to them, but yet they use it to divide us and set us up, one against another.... The Hausa man is not and can never be the Igbo man problem, and the Igbo can never be the Yoruba man headache, we can co exist as a country or Confederation if we must, we can as well split and go our separate ways without fighting or killing each other, all am saying is that the politicians are the biggest threat at the moment to our existence as a nation. The evil and wicked structure must be dismantled when we are ready... Nigerians let's unite. 9 Likes |
