Until we legalize arms, this will not stop.
Until 4 years ago, one could legally buy shotguns with license, not until one IG under buhari placed a blanket ban.
One or 2 warning shots and those fulanis would have left. Afterall, they did it to my paddies farm at Osun state. Bros held them at gun point. Called the authorities, last last they sold some cattle to settle him.

I didn't know these herdsmen can run fast. They raced more than Hussain bolt the day the wandered into my town. They left some cattle behind in their haste.

Cattle everywhere eating free food, causing destruction everywhere they go without paying any form of tax.

Despite all these privileges meat is very expensive.

Food inflation remains a problem in Nigeria, with a current rate of 36% food inflation year-on-year. With farmers unable to engage in farming, or see the produce of their efforts in harvest season, the situation is unlikely to improve.

With the government unable/unwilling to effectively combat the menace, it remains a persistent problem threatening the Nation's 200 million population.
With the greatest respect, is it everything done in south west, south East that most be Labelled as Fulani herdsmen? If you youruba criminals were caught it doesn't catch much attention. Why most we blame our fuss on third parties. Those it make sense to attribute bandits in Zamfara to Yoruba

Can we just look beyond ethnicity and religion, Igbo, Hausa, Yoruba and other tribes in this country, let's join hands together and pursue this evil called APC, breakfast don dey reach everybody small small oooo, politicians are merely taking the masses for a ride without a bit conscience, at the top, ethnicity and religion dont matter to them, but yet they use it to divide us and set us up, one against another.... The Hausa man is not and can never be the Igbo man problem, and the Igbo can never be the Yoruba man headache, we can co exist as a country or Confederation if we must, we can as well split and go our separate ways without fighting or killing each other, all am saying is that the politicians are the biggest threat at the moment to our existence as a nation. The evil and wicked structure must be dismantled when we are ready... Nigerians let's unite.

You can't tell people to look behind a card that you also played yourself. Sounds hypocritical

It means only one thing, If a crime can’t be resolved by a government of any country, and what it means is that the government is protecting criminals.

Fulanis are not even natural Nigerians. Hausas accommodated these people, and they took over. Even oppressing the Hausa in their land.

Fulani pastoralists started migrating into northern Nigeria from the Senegambia region around the thirteenth or fourteenth century. After the Uthman dan Fodio jihad, the Fulani became integrated into the Hausa culture of Northern Nigeria.

This same Dan Fodio deceived the king’s children to murder their father the king, who is an Hausa, and this same man who welcome and accommodated Dan Fodio when he arrived the North.

The king let Dan Fodio teach his children the Koran , and he ended up killing the king. Fulanis are heartless.

The government must allow everyone to own a license for a gun, let’s see if all of these and kidnappings wouldn’t stop.

Deflection.

Several states have passed anti-grazing laws. They have also set up up state agencies to enforce but there is clearly a limit to how far these state anti-grazing forces can go. The federal police and the federal military have openly grumbled a few times about how these state bodies (as well as other state approved vigilantes and anti-crime units etc.) are breaking federal laws.

You know the legislative backing is there (at the state level at least) but you cleverly want to divert attention to federal lawmakers - instead of laying the blame squarely where it belongs: at the foot of the federal executive, led by Bola Ahmed Tinubu. undecided These rogue herders causing problems all over the place can easily be charged by any DPO on at least two counts - unlawful possession of firearms...and trespassing. But your federal police and army are complicit...because their federal political masters are complicit too. And so...the police and the army look the other way while people and their livelihood are being destroyed. undecided

Even if federal lawmakers pass an anti-grazing ban today, if the executive refuses to enforce, nothing will change. undecided

Fulani and Yoruba are brothers from time immemorial they knows how to settle such issue without involving a third party. Both are at the helm of affairs in Abuja.

I feel your pains, but after what flood did to our farms all over, Farmers now have balls of chrome plated titanium steel.

It is well but, these are not ordinary herders, hope they aren't trying to take you out of the competition.

Just slash them down they'll grow up again, you income will be delayed and you'll have to spend extra capital.

As an investor you have to factor these kind of **** cos **** happens

Nigeria is NOT a country.

We are saying the same thing. The federal lawmakers are there to do nothing just to collect salaries.
What country in this world would you have the same herder/ farmer issue and you deflect it to state authorities which doesn't have the control of the security forces?
Yeah, the federal lawmakers can only wring their hands and watch helplessly.

i sympathise with the man but he should be more security conscious. He still went to this place all alone recording video. Na my land, na my village must also be with sense oh. What if the people who did this find him here and kill him over nothing? You know that herdmen always parade your area and you still go ahead to invest and plant there. Is that sense or guts or what?

No we are not saying the same thing.

If the executive wants this rogue herdsmen nonsense to stop this very minute - it surely will. I do not know how in your view this problem has suddenly migrated to become a legislative issue. As far as I am aware, it is against the law for me to carry a Kalashnikov in Nigeria. It is flat out illegal. I can still remember the confusion I felt as far back as 2017 when on a road trip, I saw herders dressed in military fatigues on the Kaduna - Abuja expressway, brandishing Kalashnikov
rifles - in broad daylight. undecided

The federal executive has the power to end this nonsense but it has refused to do so. Let us call a spade a spade. This is just one of several heart wrenching videos (on this site) of farmers who have lost everything (and i mean everything) to this madness. You heard the man say he took a loan to set up his farm. What's he supposed to do now? undecided

And then when men commit suicide to end it all, people call them weak, without thinking of what drove them down that road in the first place. undecided

Goddamit, Nigeria is NOT a country!!!
