FreeStuffsNG: You are deceiving yourself and sincerely speaking I don't know why an idoit will be doing this online. What is your country producing to earn foreign exchange in dollars? Your crude oil that gives you an advantage in foreign exchange income has been used as a mortgage to borrow money for years. So how do you hope dollar exchange with your Naira will be at your advantage by now? You supporters of politicians in Africa should stop telling lies to yourselves and your friends, most of you are too educated to live in illusion. 2 Likes 2 Shares |

The convergence is not what will stabilize the rate, because i said this earlier that as long as many # is chasing few $, there will still be lapses in the exchange rate. We need forex from trade Tinubu. |
Re: Exchange Rates In Official And Parallel Markets Converge by Realdeals(m): 6:33am On Mar 13 |
This actually makes the convergence possible, USD can no longer be withdraw over the counter. By the time CBN becomes consistent with their intervention sales in the market, the rate will fall. herkeem: 1 Like |

[quote author=Jbleenk post=128910820] Can you not understand that the fed govt use to pay a huge amount the to keep it at 750 to a $? Now this is the true value of the naira. No govt intervention no govt defense. If everyone needing to xchange naira to $ or $ to naira goes through the official window instead of black market then we can see the naira appreciating further. [/quote Pls talk with you know. Mind you this government is still borrowing billions of dollars to defend naira. |

What has all this got to do with industries and creating jobs so the economy can have real strength. All this technical approach no go do nothing. Just de watch. You increase fuel and that took out great many out of the workforce in their little way. No remedy for low income earners. Rather than fix the wage disparity to even up, You are busy fight from top down rather the reverse. 1 Like |

Stephench: You do know US accuses some countries of deliberately devaluing their currencies? We are so blind to see the inherent opportunity available to us as a result of devaluation of the currency and that’s because we depend on government to feed us like babies. Find yourself a job or product or anything for that matter that can earn you money in dollar and see if you won’t benefit greatly from the devaluation. Now imagine a lot of youths do same. If they call you lazy and clueless youth now will be mad and angry. Clueless children of hate. 1 Like |

FreeStuffsNG:You don't seem to be informed, defending the naira with the excess crude doesn't mean we give out the dollars free, The Cbn still sells and collect the naira equivalent, the only problem is depletion of the account which is our source of balancing trade. Pls try and be informed and dont get carried away by propaganda in attempting to defend the govt. By the way, the Cbn has resumed the weekly sales of dollars back to BDCs, and monitoring the movement of the currency. That's should have been done earlier rather than allowing the Dollars to spiral out of control. It's managed floating that Atiku proposed, The govt wants to borrow $10b to defend the naira, I hope you are aware. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Lol 😂 😂, funny you, so you re not in Nigeria when our government is borrowing dollars, more dollars to defend it. Thy even devalue the naira for the second time according to the article. Nigeria is still defending and intervening in the market. U only float ur currency when you have enough dollars on the supply side. Google countries that have their currency floated... Advance countries. The problem is not speculators but the supply side, greed and corruption. If the speculators like set the rate at 5000, if there is supply from the bank nobody will buy outside. Is simple economic our supply should be more than demand. This is why every country in the world have the US dollar but it has maintained it value after from inflation. The government is still defending the naira. There's no difference between the fixed rate and floating. Is what this Buhari Central bank did, that this what the current cbn one is doing. Borrowing dollars. The only difference is we are suffering from this error. Bcs the exchange rate determines the market oil price in Nigeria and that is y our government is still subsidising the oil. I pray we Nigerians win. Jbleenk: |
