Thank God, I brought this 900w solar pump to meet up the water demand.

My rice is making me feel like I am in Thailand, in fact, in the middle of Bangkok.

After almost an hour in this yola extra ultra sun ... I decided to take nunu and kinderemo

why is rice not cultivated down south, is it because of the seedlings as there is enough favorable weather conditions?

On my arrival, I had already met the locals working on the farm .

It's was a delightful experience.

It's not easy, but man must survive.

Tinubu policies aren't encouraging at all.
Gas price is killing us, but how we go do ??

May God bless your hustles πŸ™

If half of the lazy youths that love to create tribal nuisance on this platform can emulate acts like this, there will not be a need for anyone to cry of hunger.

Pay this security man 30k monthly to guard the farm from fulani herders.

Does stubborn futon jalon type .. with their dread and dagger .

If you like keep DSS dey go still invade your farm.

But I have a secret, which is I gave them free water for their cattle. After drinking, I beg them to move ahead without touching the farm, I also buy "nunu and dekere" cowsmilk and pudding. Fulani women fine sha ... grin

Not an ideal situation, but as a shrewd business man your improvisation skill kicked in. More bushels to your barn /silo!!!

Seriously we need Government interventions in irrigation farming .

Thing are to hard, Brought this two bags of fertiliser for 80k

Urea = 45k
NPK = 35k

There is vast land but No capital to farm, so I cut my coat according to my size.

Maybe will get more strength for expansion next year .

Your request that farmers need " govt intervention" is quiet valid but are you also aware the the big scale local manufacturers in Nig. prefer to export it than sell to local farmers

Likes of Obasanjo farms, saraki farms and co. mainly export there farm products

Everytime we call for Govt intervention can govt force these people

It's a 68km journey from my house in yola to the farm at Mayo balwa LGA.

Enjoy the thread cheesy

You remind me of one song: Fati!

I get nostalgic feelings of my time in Taraba

pp please this your water, is it from a surface source of deep under ground source.

Because it seems your pumping machine is surface. If the case is surface, how do you manage when the surface water runs dry

they are not readily cultivated down south maybe due to unavailability of seeds

Please can you talk about your water source? I can see a mud pump and another type of pump that I've not seen before. Is the 2nd pump the solar pump? Where do they both get water from?

Rice is cultivated in some places in the South. At least I know its cultivated in a particular local govt in Akwa Ibom and in Cross River. Some south eastern states also cultivate rice But I think not all locations favour rice cultivation. Its mostly cultivated in swampy areas.
