is this the same way the army responds when school children are kidnapped and soldiers killed in the north by some "foolish" bandits?

It's sad really.

I remember this kid, a 2:1 University of Ibadan graduate who joined the army. Tall, handsome, intelligent young man.

Somehow he was assigned a team and his team was drafted to the North to fight bokoharam. They were all killed.
When this boy's corpse was finally seen by the family, it was in such a sorry state...no compensation of any sort came from the NA till date.

Such potential wasted. RIP to all our fallen heroes.

Yet these terrorists still prevail all over the North today.

If this same gestapo tactics were deployed in the North, I believe the killers of that boy and many of our gallant men would've been fished out already and the menace curtailed.

The NA seems to be more effective in the south because of the way Nigeria has been designed and governed.

You see videos everyday of northern youths having confrontations and even intimidating army officers without repercussions but you can't try same in the south.

The so-called "swamp buggy" described as being deployed in the Niger Delta by the military is in fact a floating amphibious excavator and not a traditional American-design swamp buggy. One would presume that the floating excavator will be used to open up shortcuts between adjacent rivers in the mangrove labyrinth.

Is Okuoma the only Community in the Whole of the Niger Delta

So they don't know another Community in Ondo, Akwa-Ibom, Rivers or Edo can still Kill Soldiers over a dispute? 😏

This USELESS APC govt is something else! 😕
You can imagine!
There's a communal dispute, the first security to call is the military not even police. Terrible.

Swamp Buggies are different from the amphibious excavators.

The picture of the buggies was posted on the front page.

Yes their life is more important. me and you know we can never ever join the military, for them to accept to defend nigeria for us they are more better than any citizen

pacespot:

Nairaland and nincompoop like this making boastful claim for Nigerian army. So is the life of Nigeria army officers killed more important than residents' of okuoma and neighbouring Bayelsa killed by army?
