Nice write-up. Life itself is full of challenges, things we never thought of or imagined. We take it as we see, may God help us.

If it’s coming from a true friend, it’s fine- friends can tell themselves anything. I won’t take it from someone who does not care about me.

I dedicate 'suburban war' by Arcade fire to this thread. It fits the thread in an analogical way.

NB: this album from whence this song is pulled from won album of the year many years ago, beating the likes of Eminem and Lady Gaga I think. Fantastic indie rock album.

Let's go for a drive
And see the town tonight
There's nothing to do
But I don't mind when I'm with you
This town's so strange
They built it to change
And while we sleep
We know the streets get rearranged
With my old friends
It was so different then
Before your war
Against the suburbs began
Before it began
Now the music divides us into tribes
You grew your hair
So I grew mine
You said the past won't rest
Until we jump the fence and leave it behind
With my old friends
I can remember when
You cut your hair
I never saw you again
Now the cities we live in
Could be distant stars
And I search for you
In every passing car
The night's so long...
Yeah, the night's so long
I've been living in the shadows of your song
Been living in the shadows of your song
In the suburbs I
I learned to drive
And you told me we'd would never survive
So grab your mother's keys we leave tonight
But you started a war
That we can't win
They keep erasing all the streets we grew up in
Now the music divides us into tribes
You choose your side
I'll choose my side
All my old friends
They don't know me now
All my old friends
Are staring through me now
All my old friends
They don't know me now
All my old friends
They don't know me now
All my old friends wait

Be humble, tolerant, caring and passionate about your ex classmates regardless of their present status and class.

A rejected stone sometimes turn out to be the cornerstone.

The write up is very strong and touchy, sometimes you look and think about your life and what you see is failure, low self esteem, degrading and backwardness, especially when you see your former classmates or childhood friend making it..
Sometimes I even think it's a curse or one not being smart enough.

Reason I rarely go to Facebook, you will see oppression and depression viewing your old friends or ex classmates.

I have observed something else under the sun. The fastest runner doesn’t always win the race, and the strongest warrior doesn’t always win the battle. The wise sometimes go hungry, and the skillful are not necessarily wealthy. And those who are educated don’t always lead successful lives. It is all decided by chance, by being in the right place at the right time.

Too true...

I have a very brilliant friend with masters degree and was about doing his PhD before he advised himself to slow down. Till to day, life no still balance for the guy. In other to survive with his family, he's doing POS business.

Dear Ex Classmates!

Some of us didn't further education after secondary school.
Some of us furthered to University.
Some of us got married, yes, some of us are not married.
Some of us are still strüggling with life.
Some of us are settled.
Some of us are still finding it dïfficult to eat two meals in a day.
Some of us have traveled abroad.
Some of us went back to the village.
Some of us have seen hëll and still facing hëll.
Some are also deàd. Don't forget, and some of us, the last time we sat in a class room was the last day we wrote or secondary school last exam paper.

In short, life is not good to everyone.
Whenever you call or run into your old classmate, please, let them or the conversation be simple.
That we are still alive, it's the thing to celebrate.
Stop making others feel lèss of a value because you're married, engaged or have multiple degrees.
Life is full of ups and downs. Life can turn around.
You can stretch your hand and be a blessing to your fellow classmates, instead of möcking them simply because you're in a better position.
Life is not prèdictable, be humble.❤️🍷

Behind every man's forymtune is a crime.

Mario Puzo

In as much I know Obi Cubana wealth is not pure as it is, but I love one thing about him. His compassionate heart, willing to extend his philantropic gestures to people around him. He is really a leader who have people at heart, the modern-day Robin Hood. Only if our polithiefcians and elites can take after him.

Don't be surprise if he is warming up for politics in future...

Sometimes old school mates who are not doing too well avoid their class mates out of inferiority complex, while some old school mates who are doing fine are just being stupid to snob their mates when they meet, it's an act of immaturity to do such.

There's a yoruba adage that says a jo n Rin a mo ori Olowo, which literally translates into 'we roll together but we do not know who is going to become Wealthy'.
