Buying her the phone is my responsibility. Using and protecting the phone is her responsibility. I don't spoonfeed healthy adults. I don't, in the name of love, raise irresponsible adults that cannot think for themselves. I will only advise her on how to handle the issue. I will not speak with the guy unless he himself invites me to interfere in the matter. And if he invites me, I will not be violent when talking to him.

The point is she should be mentally self-dependent (responsible) enough to not date a mad guy that will seize her phone. Why would I seize the phone of a mere girlfriend especially if I was not the one who bought it?

If I have a serious issue with a girlfriend I will just end the relationship and throw her out, I don't have time for petty drama such as seizing phones or engaging in fisticuffs.
