I beg to disagree. Capitalism, as much as we adore and promote it, has done more harm to marriage than socialism. Capitalism necessitated the inclusion of women into the workforce, thus reducing jobs for the average man and giving women money, thus power. When women have both features, birth rates, and in some places including marriage rates, plummet drastically. Even in countries with fewer or no women's rights, birth rates have plunged, but not as in capitalist countries. Having both parents work just to eke a living has strained relationships. Also, capitalism promotes individualism which goes against the tenets of having a successful marriage.

You shouldn't think that it is because the white man loves women's rights and is being courteous and caring for women.
The real reason is very evil and sinister and could later hurt the woman even more than the man.

The reason is to facilitate the breaking up and destroying of family by removing the man as the main protector. Once the man is out of the way they come for the woman and the children, using child protective services to take children away sometimes for ever.

You have some good points. I'm aware of the pressures of 2 income homes, but nobody FORCED that on anyone. That's a choice. A family can choose to have less money and have one spouse at home.

I know a family that did this. The man earned about $45K back in 2001. The wife left her job to stay home. They grew a lot of their food, they made their own cereal...I used to help them roll the oats. He drove a tiny old beat up Toyota Tercel. And it worked for them.

Someone I know in the UK lost 2 houses and 3 kids to his wife. I saw him a few months after the separation and the guy said he was going to go to all the beaches from Lagos to Benin republic and bury juju at the beaches against his wife. I was having this discussion with a White American the other day, the welfare and single motherhood thing. He was full of praises for African immigrants and their family values.

I informed him I've read demographic studies that show 33% of children and grandchildren born to African immigrants in the UK are now born to single mothers. The study excluded Jamaican/Caribbean immigrants, it was about Sub-Saharan Black Africans.
