Peter Obi needs to go and apologize to this man Reno Omokri. This neck pressing is getting too much

Obi is not his mate or level at all.
Reno is nothing but a tout in America that has nothing to show aside American document.

At his present age, Obi has already headed top committees and then the title of an ex governor to his name.

First time in the history of nigeria a president is being protected by a particular tribe. You are trying so hard to find a means to justify that you are tribal bigot. Basically tinubu is a president for yoruba people ruling Nigeria. It's shame you don't even see how proud you are about it. Obasanjo ruled as a Nigeria likewise the rest of the former president including buhari. Tinubu programmed your brain to defend him. He made you his slave so wether you like it or not you must defend him.

Why is he always on the neck of Obi with 'bitter truth' pressing, about Obi's performance as Anambra governor.

I am sure Reno has an informant, in Soludo's office, that is ditching out all these sensitive secrets to him, in order to undermine the credibility and influence of Obi and Labor Party, in Anambra politics.

I will not be surprised if Obi comes out, next week, to confirm this erosion/brewery story just the way he was forced to confirm not starting and completing any school, in Anambra state, during his tenure as governor, for 8 years.

Bolded.
Right from the beginning of the 1970s till today, the federal government has been in charge of erosion control measures in all the states of Nigeria. I remember the 1980s Auchi erosion control in then Bendel state by the Federal government. The erosion was huge.

The erosion problems in Anambra and Imo States are watched by the Federal governnent to increase in dimensions. Methinks, it's part of continuation of the civil war through ecological and economic means.

Nobody expected federal government leaders like Buhari from Arewa to control the erosion in the SE. What of Tinubu?
Other states outside the South East of Nigeria are currently experiencing ecological disasters and gully erosions of multiple dimensions. So, this isn't a case of the continuation of a low-key Nigerian Civil War. The challenges seem to get bigger as work is carried out on some erosion sites, hence, some sites have witnessed failed sections after getting fixed.

Read up on the Federal Government and the NEWMAP World Bank erosion assisted program.

Other Web links below show that the Federal Government through NEWMAP has been involved in providing counterpart funding for the works on erosion sites... and incidentally Auchi is still battling with gully erosions as of 2024. In December 2023, the Vice President of Nigeria Kashim Shettima also visited Anambra in the second Web link below and flew in a helicopter over erosion sites. He emphatically promised Governor Soludo that work will continue on the erosion sites.

Ondo State is currently experiencing a massive erosion of the Atlantic coastline in the oil and gas-rich Ilaje area and a lot of the Ilaje-Yoruba folks there have lost their ancestral homelands to the Atlantic. I saw a documentary on the Ilaje tragedy and a prominent member of that community pointed to a location far out in the ocean horizon and said that was where his house and that of others used to be located. My jaws nearly hit the ground because the location where land used to be was very far out by several kilometers into the ocean!

This is what would have happened to Victoria Island in Lagos State if Bola Tinubu as the then Governor of Lagos had NOT come up with the Eko Atlantic City idea with the private sector because the Federal Government at that time was just pussyfooting while the highly embarrassing Atlantic ocean surges swept right through Victoria Island and environs.

I would advice all the states affected by sea and gully erosions to follow the lead of Lagos State under the then Governor Tinubu and partner with private companies that have specialties in these remedial or land reclamation projects while also working to energise the Federal Government/NEWMAP initiative on gully erosion.

The last paragraph cracked me up. cheesy grin

Tbh, the erosion problem in Anambra State and other places would cost those states millions of USD to fix and they simply don't have that kind of money. So, it's best to just create proper drainage systems, plant more trees and avoid rapid deforestations as preventive measures.

Indeed, Reno is absolutely right with regards to the reclamation of lost land (due to the Atlantic Ocean surges) to create Eko Atlantic City which helped to STOP the horrendous floodings back in the 1990s and 2000s that overtook Victoria Island around the Modupe Osikoya Street, Ahmadu Bello Way, IMB Plaza and adjoining areas.

Victoria Island would have been completely submerged by now due to climate change and increasing ocean water volumes. In the 1950s and 1960s, the vast lands at the Bar Beach area still existed but gradually got submerged and lost to the Atlantic Ocean. Eko Atlantic City is a brilliant public-private partnership masterstroke from the then Governor Bola Tinubu of Lagos State and Gilbert Chagoury's company and that saved Victoria Island, Lekki/Ajah areas from total submergence by the Atlantic Ocean. Though the land is quite expensive to get as of today, the U.S. Embassy has invested in huge tracts of land at Eko Atlantic City and that shows how much confidence the U.S. goverment and others have in the ongoing real estate development at Eko Atlantic City.

This is what these small obidient boys don't know about the visionary prowess of Tinubu. He was a man who saw today 20 years ago. He is a genius. While his other govs were investing in beer factory, Tinubu invested in Lekki/Ajah. Imagine if he didn't do what he did then, there wouldn't have been VI and Lekki and you know the value of those places today. And then one mediocre who manages to construct a 17th century borehole is comparing himself to a genius like Tinubu. All these small boys need to go and learn about Tinubu as gov.

Lagos State had all the money needed to invest on the Victoria Island/Eko Atlantic City land reclaim. Other
State governments hardly afford urban drainage system for their cities. Rural drainage systems are out of the books.
Asking State governors to provide funding to be complemented by the Federal government for control of erosion problems, is like passing the buck on erosion control from the federal to the state governors. The federal government needs to initiate and fund erosion control measures. The federal government had since assigned the task of erosion control to itself.

Beginning more than 20 years ago until 2014, Tinubu campaigned in all of the Western region for political restructuring of Nigeria because Tinubu was one of the few political leaders in the south of Nigeria who recognised the fraudulent political structure. The FRAUD in the political structure of 36 states + Abuja created by northern military dictators who proliferated 20 new federating units (states) in the old northern region but left only 17 states for the old two southern regions, consigned overwhelming political and economic advantages to the old Northern region but left the southern politicians as yes members to the dictates of northern political actors. The political structure funnels undue excess share of national income and development infrastructures to the northern region. Because at the NASS and the FEC where decisions are made, northern legislators and ministers overwhelmingly dominate.

In bold. Tinubu seeing today 20 years ago means nothing if he is in power now but unwilling to solve the problems he saw 20 years ago. Every thinking person from the south of Nigeria believed political restructuring of Nigeria should be the number one agenda for Tinubu presidency.

A retired military General from Edo or Delta state said during Buhari's civilian administration that Nigeria must be restructured either by PEACE or by FORCE. Buhari's response was that Nigeria's armed forces has been guarding our democracy since 1999.

I totally agree with your position but it's not as easy as it sounds. To restructure Nigeria any political leader needs to negotiate this among the regions. I don't think the North is ready for this but if it will happen he has to carry them along. He cannot just wake up within one year and legislate it. Look at the issue of State police and how some govs are foot - dragging on it , meanwhile security is something that should be devoid of politics. Either way the most important thing is to have a performing leader.
