What happened to the Israelites when they went to fight without God instructions

Is the current GCFR God's representative like Moses, Joshua, David, etc?

When Peter brought out sword, it was cos of the injustice he saw that his master was about to be arrested. What did Jesus do? How many people did Peter kill after then?

My friend go and sit down. Stop all these attempts to twist scriptures. Are you talking to kids? If your organization has brainwashed you to this level, you can not infect us.

Israel fought to defend themselves and had to consult God because the nation was a theocracy. Has God ever told them to dismantle their armies and never go to war? There were several kings in Israel who fought wars without consulting God, and yet they returned victorious. It's all in the Bible.

Jesus asked Peter to put down his sword because it was not appropriate to use it at the time:

1. Don't use the sword against government. That's what Peter was doing. Jesus was against that.

2. Don't use the sword to fight against God's will. That was was Peter was doing. It was God's will for Jesus to be arrested and crucified.

Meanwhile, it was Christ who advised Peter to keep that same sword he wielded that day. Christ taught him how to balance the issues relating to self defense in that episode.

Jesus preached to Soldiers in His days:

Luke 3:14

"Soldiers also asked him, "And we, what shall we do?" And he said to them, "Do not extort money from anyone by threats or by false accusation, and be content with your wages."

Did Jesus condemn the soldiers for their profession? He even asked them to continue collecting their salaries with contentment.

Changes made in the 2013 JW Bible.

MaxInDHouse:

Ọmọ the same thing that happened to Jericho is what the inhabitants of Gideon experienced but they acted wisely by surrendering to Israelites telling them they're ready to do whatever the Israelites says! Joshua 9:1-27

Which inhabitants of Gideon are you talking about? Gibeon my dear, not Gideon.

This is what the Gibeonites said when Joshua queried them:

They answered Joshua, “Because it was told to your servants for a certainty that the Lord your God had commanded his servant Moses to give you all the land and to destroy all the inhabitants of the land from before you—so we feared greatly for our lives because of you and did this thing."

They did it in defense of their lives, just like Rahab. Bring another scripture.

Do you know why they remain alive?

Because there was no human ruler to lead the people like zombies to their early graves had it been they had someone who wants to keep his position as their king like the people of Jericho they would have been gathered like chickens and get slaughtered by the Israelites.

A word is enough for the wise!wink

No, they were sent to the Israelites by their rulers. The Bible even said that Gibeon was a mighty city among the cities of the Amorites. It was a highly respected and feared kingdom.

Joshua 10:1-2
"Now Adoni-Zedek king of Jerusalem heard that Joshua had taken Ai and totally destroyed[a] it, doing to Ai and its king as he had done to Jericho and its king, and that the people of Gibeon had made a treaty of peace with Israel and had become their allies. 2 He and his people were very much alarmed at this, because Gibeon was an important city, like one of the royal cities; it was larger than Ai, and all its men were good fighters."

Stop lying against the Word of God to defend your false doctrines. Jesus preached to Soldiers and this is what He told them:

Luke 3:14
"Then some soldiers asked him, “And what should we do?”

He replied, “Don’t extort money and don’t accuse people falsely—be content with your pay.
"

Jesus said they should continue with contentment with their salaries. He didn't ask them leave the army.

With this it's now obvious that you're just out to deceive yourself!

Aren't Boko Haram politicians?
Well if you must know POLITICIANS are people who come to you as if they're for your good but inwardly they just want to drain your pocket and dominate you. Once they're able to brainwash some of your people to become their guards the next thing is forcing their opinions on you using weapons to threaten whoever opposes them. 1Samuel 8:10-18
Jesus commanded only his own disciples that is people who surrendered themselves to his orders so no force or weapons is involved and anyone is free to take his leave if you're no longer comfortable with his ideas! John 6:66

That's exactly what Jehovah's Witnesses are doing, you come freely and you're also free to take your leave nobody will force you to continue obeying the rules! smiley

Boko Haram is doing exactly what JW is doing. They are as good as JW organization. Boko Haram must be commended for doing the work of the god of JW. Case closed.

Watchtower added True to Knowledge because they need a verse to point to about Themselves as they teach JWS that they are the only ones with the True Knowledge and Jehovah is revealing it to them only.

Re: Manipulation Of Bible Verses In The Jehovah's Witness Bible by Courz: 12:56pm On May 13
The JW Bible and their Kingdom interlinear. This time, the Kingdom interlinear was touched to give the wrong meaning of the Greek word. They fixed Loyalty instead of the correct meaning Holiness. Check the Greek word for Holiness in the above Greek and compare it with the one in the Kingdom interlinear. They are the same.

Why was Holiness replaced with Loyalty? Because Watchtower doesn't consider Holiness important. They also need a verse they can quote each time they talk about Loyalty to the Cult. One of the fears of Watchtower Is JWS leaving the Cult. So, they keep repeating this word Loyal, Loyal to Jehovah, Loyal to the Organisation. They even have talks with the Word all the time especially during conventions. They repeat again and again to drive home the point of JWs sticking to the Cult. It is taboo to Leave. It is taboo to expose it. Everything is Loyalty. Thus, they removed Holiness and fixed Loyalty even though the word cannot be found in the Greek manuscript.

Was it Jesus that replied the soldiers in Luke 3:14 or it was John the Baptist?

JW Bible below. As you can see, they are against Almighty God having foreknowledge. They don't believe Almighty God is Omniscient. He has limits, they say. But this verse is telling us God Foreknew. Watchtower cannot have JWs seeing God having Foreknowledge after lying that he is not Omniscient. So, they scattered the verse and placed words that have nothing to do with the verse to throw JWS off. Look at Their Kingdom interlinear having the correct Greek word matching the one posted above. This is a very bad translation.

You mean Jesus disciples were "foolish" to run away when Roman soldiers attacked Jerusalem?

According to FXM, Jesus Christ is "foolish" for not instructing his followers to fight & defend Jerusalem.
