I still don't get it.

Their Defection was a gravely political naive move...

Even if Wike wanted to deal with Fubara, he could have let the lawmakers remain in PDP and counter him from there.

Whoever advised them to defect led them to their political doom,, it was a political suicide...

In the eyes of the law, there are just four members in the Rivers State House of Assembly. The 25 other members that voluntarily left their party were misguided. They've lost their seats according to the law.

Those who claim the Governor Fubara is scared to conduct LGA elections are afraid of INEC conducting bye-elections for vacant Rivers State House Of Assembly Seat.
This life no balance at all 😆🤣😄

If you and your team willingly resign your job, the company will.move on and place a new vacancy advert. Pure and simple.

In the eye of the law, they all willingly resigned from their jobs.

The question is did their parties sue?
The court cannot give judgment without the institution of legal actions to interpret the law.

Exactly. Can a court sentence a thief who had not been properly arraigned before it?

They are poor students of history. Wike used the G5 governors to reposition himself politically while the other four ex-governors lost out. He is using these lawmakers until they are no longer useful to his personal ambition.

Re: By law, the 25 Rivers Assembly lawmakers have lost their seats - Falana by Ategberoson(m): 9:08am On May 13
Now anything called impeachment on Fubara is not happening until the court decide that the 27 lawmakers maintained that seat, na that time Fubara go see war, but if they decide the other way and the 27 law makers seat are declare vacant then Fubara should buckle up and make sure they don't win election because automatically APC will give those lawmakers direct tickets in their constituencies, so is left to Fubara to get grassroot politicians from PDP to counter them but if those APC guys win? Fubara won't spend 4 months as gov in Rivers state

Read to know why it was condoned. The parties didn't sue probably because of some undertable complicity. This is Nigeria. The Fact that some escaped reprisal is the reason the stupid lawmakers in Rivers decided to try their luck. Unfortunately for them the party will sue and they will get justice. See?
