The question is most Nigerian federal , state and local government workers , how productive are they.

Does there input into the system generate that amount or they just want to be paid for doing nothing

Before you ask them, ask your polithiefcians, those thieves in power. Àbí orí ń ta ẹ ni?🤔

After working for one month they give u one bag of garri as salary fogeting that workers pay Rent, transport to work every working day and they do feed their selves. Will politician give their girl friends as low as N50, 000 for one night, not to talk of one month.

Who are those to earn minimum wage

For now it will benefit federal government workers

Those at the bottom of civil service earn the minimum wage. Let Nigerian ls not confuse it with graduates who are civil servants.
I think a university graduate will start from Level 8. This means he's 7 steps above the minimum wage
Is that not so?
So a graduate will not earn 48k per month in the federal civil service

The man is so clueless, I honestly don't know the lines and lies they would want to use to convince people to vote for them again come 2027.

You don't need to convince a sheep it's on its way to a ditch, just keep pouring grains and watch it fall.
APC don't need to convince anyone to win next election, we already have fools and loyalists that are ready to sacrifice their lives and children's future for that.
At least supporters from Nairaland shows that.

Everyone knows federal government is not serious about minimum wage 1 full year you can't propose minimum wage

54k is 33 dollars

To escape the poverty line u need to earn and spend 2 dollar per day

So minimum wage should be 80 dollars minimum

See how we went from 120 dollars under PDP to less than 50 dollars under APC

Sad really sad

May thunder fire them
Useless pigs

Those collecting more than ₦10m monthly who called themselves politicians, what's their job and what does their input generate for the country?

If they must pay ₦48k as minimum wage, then the highest paid politician should be x10 of that

Majority of Nigerians did not vote for APC in the last presidential elections

The judiciary has been bought. They will throw out all evidence and declare Tilumbu winner.

This government is wicked . They spent N500million for sitting just to come up with a paltry N54,000?

Remove the current minimum wage of N35000 from N54,000 and you will see they added almost nothing.

Labour should declare an indefinite strike immediately

They even said #48k, you de here the talk #54k

You are right but mimum wage has never been equivalent of 180 dolls in Nigeria in recent years
Average minimum wage in Nigeria has always been between $98 and $88 at first announcement

Therefore the minimum wage today should be between 120k and 150k

48k is for level 1.. Nd that person holds primary school leaving certificate as highest qualification.

Degree holder start from level 7..

But regardless the 48k is bad
70k is understandable.

Whoever tries to offer this little sum as minimum wage to civil servants considering current market prices just wants people to just transport themselves to office and drink garri one cup per day that's all. I wish him/her the same . The funny thing is that the state governors building one bridge after the other will come out to say they don't have capacity to pay much,. God help me out of this country asap to a much better place

I predicted 45k. FG tried by making it 48k. One thing people don't understand about salary increase is that it's leads to more inflation and government on the other hand go through the back door to collect all that money through tax and high interest rate to mop up more money in circulation i.e liquidity ratio

What are you talking about?

But even without this minimum wage increment things are already inflating out of control above the roof,

Abeg let them just increase it. If we continue like this deciding not to increase minimum wage, graduate entry level monthly salary will be utterly worthless, the entire monthly salary won't be able to buy a decent meal!
