OAU.. The only university that beat ABU Zaria in terms of infrastructures. Everywhere just green with nice flowers and mad buildings. I liked it there . That Amphitheater looks cool. Sometimes I wonder if it’s the same Engineers who were awarded the construction of both universities. UNILAG is a worthy mention as well. I hear Wiwge university is top notch too but as e never start full academic session we’ll see how the structures are with time.

NOTE: Infrastructure is the keyword for now.

That was long time ago. Things have really change in OAU. it's now a shadow of itself. Sometimes I wonder if it's the same university I studied from

You talk too much for your age. No one asked you all this, if you are unemployed pls find a job.

It is unbecoming for an advanced aged man like you to be talking so much leave that for the teenagers angry

O.A.U the school that formed us. It will be fixed in no time.

" Amphi- "a venue loaded with history of various kinds

This was where D-Banj performed his first major Nigerian show in 2005.

Na this same veenue for where we pursue Bukina that year reach sports complex too, as a fallout of that Dean of Student Affairs man wey dey like play students against each other in divide and conquer format

Dr Jingo , Dr 3A's , Maxwell,( the political parties -Pacesetter and DSM), Iginla Subomi, Lanre Legacy, U-Fit, Have-You -Eaten , Saburi, Femi Freedom, Afin Roger's ,Sobotiano, Tony Fash, Energy, Professor Jembe, and a host of other personalities all made my time in this school memorable.

Places like white house, yellow house, spider house, old buka, new buka, power house, road 7, road 1, Awo cafe , cofee room and aluta market.

Foods like Risky Burger , Sobo , Awo beans and Iyan Iya Egin at Old buka .

Will never forget Iya Israel one of the elderly women who used to do laundry. " You wash ? " was all the English the could most of them solicit customers with.

Mehn…..I must hail my senior colleague o. 😁😁

Oau experience remains an important part of my life.

Hahaaaaaa, you just brought back those old memories, chai!
Risky burger, old buka, new buka OMG!

That travails of Burkina is still fresh in my memory till today. It must be year 2002 or thereabout. I was there when he was pursued from amphi down to sports complex. Na so my guy tear race enter bush 😆😆

There was another scenario where professor Rogers makanjuola was locked up inside Senate building by protesting students. I wonder where all those guys you mentioned are right now - - the saburis, legacy, tony fash, 3As, obesere and others. I graduated in the year diamond became sug president.

And on that D'banj's show, my group were very close to the stage that night. I remember how one very giant rat (okete) suddenly crawled outside while the show was going on. Many guys went after it right away and it was eventually caught by one of my guys. The thing sef amazed D'banj and don jazzy. What a memory 😆😆😆

But all in all, OAU gave me more bad memories than good ones, especially how a supposed 4 years of study eventually turned to 7 and half years for me. Lecture boycott every now and then, SUG vs Senate, SUG vs town-gboro, internal ASUU/NASU strike, national strike, extra year, sadist lecturers, supervisor wahala... Damn!

You thoroughly enjoyed the good, the bad, and the ugly 🤣🤣

May the soul of the student killed at the front of FaJ Hall rest in peace😪

You forgot "mojo break" in 05/06🤣🤣🤣

Oh; Thank you. I heard something like, Lalale Friday! Temi koba sunle o, Awo TV no mo wa, l

Also the Aro line you mentioned still survived beyond Jembe era but I doubt if it's still in use. Ogidiolu was the master of Aro when I stayed on campus. We know each other too, and he's political in term of activism. Not an all out activist but he's fond of it. He's also kegite member. Many beautiful memories in OAU. Only those who witnessed can understand. It's a school of the free and savage.

When we entered, Aro was part of the OT the Stalites gave us. Children of nowadays are way too sensitive to survive such extreme banters without caving in, and resorting to violence, so i wont be suprised.

Aro is still helping me till today as I use it to entertain my family ensuring their is no dull moment with them. I still infuse it with maturity on public speeches, at work and other places to break the ice and just make people more relaxed before serious meetings start.

Alot of them comes to A8 cos we have lots of Law students in my room then. So, A8 was like a meeting point or where they converge. Do you rem Deji in my room who did Architecture? Always carrying this their drawing board around.

Aro has always been part of the culture and one that survived generations. But I doubt it's originality now considering the hall decongestion, may, evacuation that recent VC embarked upon.
