that is the Audi A4 2.0ALT engine..... slow to pick up but durable....
manual transmission means a DMF dual mass flywheel, you should not be tempted to change it to SINGLE MASS FLYWHEEL. Very compact car, ac is a mad one, eskimo standard, alloy wheels, ensure you have easy acess to replacement parts like the door controls, they tend to go bad over time, and the two CTS especially the one close to the firewall it can cause a no start condition.... gbedu is mad, interior of this 2002 is better built than a 2015 corolla toyota..... no kidding....

Good evening , I just got a tokunbo audi a4 2007 is giving these error, and I just serviced it by replacing the oil filter and change the oil with 5litres of Mobil oil ... after about a month of driving these morning I found out the oil gauge was close to minimum and I drove out from mile 2 to ajah lekki . when I was coming back, suddenly it display an error on the dashbroad of minimum oil logo and immediately I drove to Mobil station and I bought oil of 4 liters and I put in about 2 liters in to the engine, then drove the car with the error , after about 2 kilometers of driving the error stopped... please what do I do cos I guess it's shorting oil but I am sure of where my car is always parked I have never seen any oil spilage or linkages on the ground... but some of the screws close to the spark plugs are very oily... please what do I do...

Be very careful. Very very careful. Again be careful. EPC ABS lights may just be due to a faulty or dirty wheel speed sensor.

Now as regards the fluids be very careful..... You may just ruin your car.

How do i know if its american or not. The vw site will only show u car info from 2011 upwards.
The car has been parked for sometime and most of the visible fluid containers are pactically empty. Which I why I believe that if I use the right fluids for all fiuld-related areas of the car, I will have reduced or eliminated the possible issues and signs on the dashboard.

Again, I need to know if its American? Can you help? Its a 2006 passat FSI 2.0t engine. 91k milage. Engine is still perfect.

Thanks for creating this thread. I recently got a used Audi A6 Quatrro, 2003 model. The engine runs fine when bough, tested by 3 mechanics. Two weeks ago the car developed overheating issues. The temperature gauge goes above half almost 5mins after startup. Had to make a long journey from Ibadan to Kogi state with, stopping occasionally to refill with water. Gave it to 'renown' mecho here who specializes in Benz and German cars. He said the gaskets are burnt, water pump is faulty and airflowmeter is faulty.
He then go ahead to recommend I change the engine but folks says he wants to rip me off that the engine is good. Please help me, I am confused as this is my first car.

02) A6
03) 2.7L V6 32V.
04 5-Speed Tiptronic.
05) 2003
06) Euro
07) Permanent AWD.

All these are addition to the overheating issue

12) Engine died whilst driving. Noise before it stopped, does not sound normal cranking, or doesn't crank at all.
13) Engine idles lumpy (misfire evident).
14) Check Engine Light illuminated.

18) Coolant level normal, engine overheating
21) Blue smoke from exhaust, marked drop in engine performance.

53) Cruise control doesn't operate.
54) ABS warning light is on.
57) Battery keeps going flat, battery warning light NOT illuminated.
58) Alarm sounds randomly
60) Central locking does not work.
61) Electric window does not work.
62) Electric mirror does not work.
