Yeah very entertaining especially in the second half. The Arsenal boys did me proud with the pressing and passing. MOTM for me is Torriera. Praise also go to Xhaka, Ozil, Holding and off course Lacazette for the goal.

Proud of the lads today. We could've nicked it but it was a tough game being up against a side who have been built for 3 years under the same man.

Xhaka, brilliant. Couple of lost balls but i've always supported him, he's such a good deep lying player. Torreira, well, he's just Torreira. Seems he plays 8/10 minimum every week.

I want to give a shoutout to Holding, his composure and reading of the game was awesome. His confidence playing out of the back was simply superb. Serious player.

Laca, thank you son. Auba, again, just struggled to make it happen when starting out wide. Lethal player, but this system/position isn't ideal for him.

Despite that, It was a fairly even game and I can't help but imagine Emery would have edged it out if he fielded a team with his own players. I think the future is bright for Arsenal as Emery has just shown himself to be a fine tactician. A couple of transfer windows and he'll definitely challenge Klopp and Guardiola.

I am so proud of today’s performance and more importantly, that we got a point out of it. In the past we probably would have played well but still lost but there is something about this unit under Emery, they have resolve and they maintain it. We were all over Liverpool and maintainer discipline.

How about Xhaka? My goodness he barely put a foot wrong today and guys don’t get too used to Torerria’s greatness and forget he is one of the best midfielders in the EPL and I say it without any hesitation. Rob Holding is definitely going to form the core of the new back line after Emery revamps it. He kept his composure against the best front 3 in the league.

Laca has a lot of power and that was how that shot powered through from that angle. I have to agree that playing Auba on the wings has not been beneficial for him. We either partner him with Laca or one drops to the bench. Ozil has a very good game in my opinion. Nothing flashy but he controlled the game for us and kept possession of the game.

All in all I am super happy and proud. The other top teams are now wary of this team and rightfully so.

One striking difference between Wenger and Emery also is their approach. Emery is more pragmatic in his tactics and substitutions. Wenger would have left Iwobi on the bench. But the boy changed the game. Again Emery touch line character puts a lot of confidence on both fans and players. With such, even a loss won't be painful since fans see the drive to win.

Iwobi showed us what a wing specialist can do to us, he was a constant threat to them with passes, movement, pace and take ons.

Emery's preference of Lacazette over Auba in the centre forward position proves that coaches prefer a striker with good hold up play than a good finisher. This explains why the likes Giroud remain relevant in the minds of coaches.

With good hold up play, goals can come from any part of the pitch. But with a striker that is good in finishing but poor in holding play, you depend on one person to do the scoring.

An alternative is to have both on the pitch, in a way that balances the team. This was the secret of France's success in the World Cup.

Dinho spoke to his teammates the tactics that would win them the match and it worked in 10mins with goals. Pep didn't like that, but we know that is how a leader supposed to ginger his mates.


The look of Ozil most times when we are a goal down is just enough.


As for the four guys. it's better Mhki and Ozil don't play together or one plays with one of Laca and Auba. with Iwobi or Welbeck filling in the gap.


Iwobi's using style to show the world that Mhki is getting surplus to requirements.


With lesser Minutes on pitch Iwobi is doing far above what Mhki is doing.

Zaha would be great but he seems out of the price range Arsenal would be willing to consider (something like 60-80 million pounds). The club will feel there are better values elsewhere. Which leads us to someone like Lozano. But there's no assurance he'll hit it running in a much superior and physical league.

If anything, I trust the Arsenal scouts headed by Mislintat to bring in someone that will fit and improve the team. They've been great so far (they have brought in Torreira, Guendouzi, Aubameyang, Mavropanos, Sokratis and Leno)

Zaha may be playing for the Ivorian national team, but he's still English and will still carry that premium that goes with English players.
