I am still trying to understand the rationale of inviting a player for trials when it's over 90% certain that he won't get a work permit. There must really be something wrong with the Arsenal management this season.

Comments like these are a result of information being available/people making conclusions based on limited information. Especially coming from Mr 'a big signing to be announced soon, Higuain deal already completed' ITK specialist. cheesy

How many players at how many clubs come for trials and don't make the cut/get a work permit? How many players go for a trial, fail to get a work permit immediately, but agreements-in-principle are made providing an option to sign them if they get one in future - at Arsenal and elsewhere?

These days everyone can be a scout/manager and 'analyse' why so and so was done/not done. cheesy

Very soon we will analyse why vertical stripes are cut on the Emirates pitch instead of circular ones. cheesy

Like I said earlier, enjoy the space created for y'all by Arsenal's code of secrecy and misinformation. cheesy

question - how does debosky sleep at night? after all these empty promises & broken dreams, you still go to the stadium to support the gooners? why can't your fans boycott for one league match to show their displeasure??

I sleep soundly in the arms of a good woman that's how. grin

I'm not going to any games till I see things actually changing, that's my own stance. I will not create a negative atmosphere to hamper performances on the pitch, but that's how I see things I guess.

If enough people stay away, they will notice - Arsenal, more than any other EPL club is highly reliant on match-day revenue. That is the simplest way of voting - with your feet.

So which one are you saying? That Perez (or what's his name again) failed to make the grade or that we have an agreement in principle? I sure would like to know.
The fact is that we brought a player all the way from South America when it was obvious the guy won't get a work permit. Surely we should have known this at Arsenal. I'm sure you know the rules for getting a work permit in the UK are straight forward and unless one is an exceptional talent, there's no way around it as far as I know.
If this was a case of 'agreements in principle', Perez wouldn't be back in his home country now.

BTW, this isn't the first time. We did same with Wellington Silva and Joel Campbell. We applied for WP based on exceptional talent but both didn't get it. And over the past two years, they haven't proved the HO wrong, have they?

Arsene Wenger said they analyze the transfer market 24/7. So they do that and end up signing Yaya and bringing Perez for trials? That's what 24/7 analysis brings in for us? smh

WENGER'S NEWSLETTER

Wenger: 'We feel sorry and disappointed'

Dear Arsenal supporter,

It was a big disappointment to lose the game on Saturday. We started the game well and then suddenly everything went against us so it is a big blow. Not only did we lose the game but we have a few injuries and many kicks. However, we had some lively moments and kept going until the end and that's what we have to focus on and forget the referee. Even when we had 10 men we had chances to come back to 2-2.
We were all very disappointed. We want our fans to be happy. When you don't achieve that, you feel absolutely sorry and really disappointed.

In terms of transfers, we were on the market before the game and we are on the market after the game. But I have to look at the solution at the start of the game. Could we have won the game with the players we have? I say yes.

We take our work seriously and believe me, we analyse every single player in the world. We work 24 hours a day for that. When we make decisions, we take it seriously. People try to think we do not want to spend. We want to. We are ready to buy players.

The team are now focused on Wednesday night and getting a positive result against Fenerbahce in Istanbul. It is a crucial match of course, and we will give everything we can to succeed there.
Thanks for your support,

What is happening?
Arsenal bid for Yohann Cabaye earlier and tonight he is not on the team for Newcastle not even bench. Arsenal can register a player for Wednesday CL until Tuesday midnight.

Neither - unlike you, I don't claim to have behind the scenes information, neither do I claim ITK status. cheesy What I am saying will be evident shortly.

The fact is that we brought a player all the way from South America when it was obvious the guy won't get a work permit. Surely we should have known this at Arsenal. I'm sure you know the rules for getting a work permit in the UK are straight forward and unless one is an exceptional talent, there's no way around it as far as I know.

The fact is that this happens ALL THE TIME, with ALL THE BIG CLUBS. If you go around United and Chelski for example, you'll see numerous players who come on trial but don't get a work permit immediately, or don't ever get signed for that matter.

To claim this is something unique or a failure on Arsenal's part shows your stark ignorance of the trial system.

BTW, this isn't the first time. We did same with Wellington Silva and Joel Campbell. We applied for WP based on exceptional talent but both didn't get it. And over the past two years, they haven't proved the HO wrong, have they?

This season alone Chelski have Wallace and Traore who did not get permits, so what are you on about? Like I said earlier, it is done by all the clubs, so there is nothing incomprehensible about it.

United had another Traore that failed to get a permit, United took 3 players on trial from Brasil and none got permits, so why are you going on like it's some unique Arsenal situation?

This one done become broken record nah abi you just like listening to yourself say thing thing over and over again cheesy Did you not say here that Arsenal will make at least 2 BIG SIGNINGS? Are the BIG signings Yaya and Crawley by any chance cheesy

Nothing broken about it, or should I remind of you of your tomfoolery regarding Sahin last year? cheesy

Like I said, unlike you I don't jump the gun making definitive predictions about specific players and making a phool of myself. I didn't claim I had insider information, I gave an opinion - let's see what happens by September 2nd. One thing we all know for sure is that we aint signing Higuain by then. grin

This Wenger matter ki n se oju lasan oh! If South phuckin hampton can sign an Italian international (Pablo Osvaldo) how can Wenger come out to say there's no one to buy? I mean a simple cash and swap deal for Gervinho woulda been feasible
