Lasinoh: There's no way that that road could have been built on a straight line. The inclination is too steep. Of it were to be straight, the car would be at almost a 90 degree angle and would fall off. However, since it's curved, the car never inclines more than a certain amount of degrees and therefore can climb safely. |

What a reetarded road. This is what I am saying when I say Nigerian roads are sub-standard. A cretin designed and constructed this road for people to u-turn in the middle of an expressway by slowing down on the fast lane to turn to the fast lane of the reverse road? Worse still, just after a bend without any warning signs? Fck Lawd! www.nairaland.com/attachments/592581_uyo2_jpg3b7127562e7ea2f44e95f1d41b7f8176 |

Bad Roads are more than good roads |
Re: What Does This Photo Tell You About Nigerian Roads? by gidiMonsta(m): 9:03am On Dec 13, 2011 |
@lasinoh There is a yoruba saying that goes: "omo ale lo n fi owo osi juwe ile baba e". Translation: Only a bastard describes his fathers house with his left hand. Yes we have bad roads (lots of them) but we also have fantastic roads that can compete with any road the world over. The fact that we are far from where will should be doesn't mean we must condemn everything, praise what is good and criticize what is bad instead of throwing the bath water away with the child. About the mountain road in obudu: When designing or building a mountain road there are so many factors to consider such as mudslides, angle of steepness, soil (texture, structure and fauna) et al hence the need to pick the lowest possible to ascend without damaging the mountain structure too much to avoid engineering catastrophes. BTW: The road was constructed by the same Caucasians you seem to worship. NB: the picture posted by the @op is a trunk C road wc means its the responsibility of the LGA in dat area, who do next to nothing IMHO wc makes me doubt the point of their existence in the first place |

@Lasino: If u're a civil engineer, u'l be a quack. A straight road on a hill with steep slope , u must b kidin me. The reason for the rigmarole or meanders in a layman's term is to reduce the effect of gravity. manny4life: |

Lasinoh: Take a correction when you have been educated and stop playing "I no go carry last". |
Re: What Does This Photo Tell You About Nigerian Roads? by Lasinoh: 9:46am On Dec 13, 2011 |
Sagamite: Carry last? Never sweerie. Not amongst olodo Nigerians like you. . .that do not realize when you are being phocked in the arzzzze because you enjoy it! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baldwin_Street,_Dunedin For YOUR education. . .your "Calabaric" road or apparition is NOT the world's steepest street huh? [flash=500,500] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NYKUk0XVeTQ[/flash] Guess what? No rigmarole! PEOPLE ACTUALLY LIVE ON IT! Not in an UNDER DEVELOPED evil forest! Level the gadddem place, build some houses. . .then construct BETTER ROADS WITHOUT YOUR DOUBLE JEOPARDY ARRANGEMENT LIKE YOU HAVE IN THE CIVILIZED WORLD! Thank you! |
Re: What Does This Photo Tell You About Nigerian Roads? by Sagamite(m): 9:57am On Dec 13, 2011 |
Lasinoh: You are a cretin! You are daft to be comparing a residential street to a [quasi] motorway? Mooron! |
Re: What Does This Photo Tell You About Nigerian Roads? by Lasinoh: 10:03am On Dec 13, 2011 |
Sagamite: Olodo! Sukkit up! Your Nigerian 'engineers' need more training. Tell 'em to stay in school and stop smoking Indian-Hemp for breakfast every morning! Thank God you know it is a 'quasi' motorway. . .how long will the white man keep ripping your off? http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/quasi Move! [flash=500,500] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GVVsVvsGAu0&feature=player_embedded[/flash] This is a motor way. . .with correct elevation. . . not your 'Calabar' apology! Thank you. Back to topic please. . . .!!! |
Re: What Does This Photo Tell You About Nigerian Roads? by Sagamite(m): 10:14am On Dec 13, 2011 |
Lasinoh: You are a cretin! So your example of motorway with "correct elevation" was with a road that was curly? Why didn't they build it and "elevate" it vertically up then, mooron? Did you go to school? I mean a proper one that produces proper graduates? Cretin saying they should build a motorway straight up a hilly place. Fooooooooooooooool! |
Re: What Does This Photo Tell You About Nigerian Roads? by Lasinoh: 10:26am On Dec 13, 2011 |
Sagamite: No, I did not go to school. No apologies. Back to topic. . . Thank you! I would rather eat PIG feces than agree with you of all NL m0r0ns! God forbid! I would rather remain a LIFE-TIME-CERTIFIED-DUNCE. . . .THAN TAKE ANY FORM OF EDUCATION FROM A GOAT LIKE YOUR! Mu he he he he he |

@sagamite Like which ones? err, Central Abuja (maitama, wuse II, et al), lekki-ajah expressway, itam-uyo road, and a few other roads. @lasinoh either u r grossly uneducated or ur sense of identity is totally lost so much so that u tend to criticize anything from ur fatherland, cos I can't imagine a sane person who thinks that u can build a straight road up a plateau that is 5200ft above sea level. SMH for ur predicament, I no envy u at all, onyeara oshi |
