Justwise, I got confused, supposedly, based on one simple thing- my University transcripts has my middle name abbreviated, for instance Samuel John Ogaba, was written as Samuel J. Ogaba. Is this a problem? If yes, is it compulsory I get a notarized affidavit for it? Otherwise, can I point it out in the additional information space on the visa form? If compulsory, must I get it at any high court in Nigeria? Thanks for your immense support.

Your sister can not sponsor you, only your mum and daddy can. Its not a new law, its being a place for more than 2yrs now. You should have paid that money into your account or into your mum or daddy account before applying.

Thanks for this much needed info... Since it's part of their law, it just tells there's no point in resubmitting my docs for a review. I'll try to possibly have my fees paid upfront or have the cash in my account for the next 28 days then reapply. Thanks Justwise!

That is another way of going about it, then have the maintenance money in your account for 28days.

As long as the money in those 3 individual accounts meets the 28days requirement then no problem.

Hello.please I need your candid advise.i applied for a uk student visa last year 2011 and was denied based on insufficient fund.the denial letter said I was not able to prove that I had sufficient funds to cover course.this year I am hoping to re apply, just want to ask if my denial last year won't affect the present application.furthermore, what amount of money would lodge in my account that would sufficiently convince embassy that I can fund the post graduate course.thanks

You'll have to show that you can pay your full tuition and also show maintenance funds (£7200 outside London). Make sure you have this money in your account for a period of 28days before submitting the account statement for visa application.

I'll advise you to go through Part 1 of this thread to have a better understanding.

My 0.209 cents.

. Hello guys, Let me just state my case and all my questions. I have read through all the posts from Part one till now and I must say Thank you to elle, Justwise et al. I just got my CAS on the 3rd of July after making the international deposit of £3840. I was offered admission to study MSC purchasing and supply chain management at Robert Gordon University,Aberdeen and My course starts on 17 Sept 2012. My tuition is £9600. I am using my Mum's account and the required maintenance fund(£12960) was deposited on the 4th of July. If we start counting from 5th, the money will mature on 1st of Aug. When exactly do I print the bank statement? Is it on the 1st or can I do it on the 2nd? I intend to apply for Visa on the 3rd. Also is it necessary I make a small transaction like paying some amount in before printing the bank statement? I know I need a letter of sponsorship from my mum, a birth certificate and that the money mustnt fall below the required balance at least until the Visa is out. My question is after the visa is out, I intend to move just £9700 pounds into my personal account. I heard at the port of entry one might be required to show all your documents including your bank statement. So what happens? Do I show only the bank statement used to get the visa or my own or both? I need your guidance. Also, My Cas only states my university certificate as the only document required. What about my passport? Won't I need to submit it with the application? And Lastly, can you connect me with prospective int. Grads going to Robert Gordon this september or January? Thank you.

Maintenance money for outside London schools is £7200, how about the remaining school fees?

the remaining school fees is £5760. £5760+£7200=£12960. Maybe it's my wording that was wrong. £12960 is the whole money I must show and I have it already. I have started counting.

You can make little payment after the 28days and print it out then apply. Arm yourself with bank statement that shows all the money (school fees + maintenance money ) just in case you are stopped and asked at POE.

You submit only the document mentioned in your CAS + your passport. I don't know any prospective student going to that school.

Go to your bank and asked them for form A, they will transfer the money straight from your account, and you pay bank charges. That is the form that was being used before they started opening domicilliary acct. I used fcmb by the way.
