Ok, seriously, NONE! I was born during the IBB era so I never met Buhari but from what I have read about him and what I have heard people say about him, I think I will choose him for now.

OBJ. I'm still assessing GEJ.
Re: Who Is Your Best Nigeria President Ever? by Thatdave(m): 6:27pm On Jan 23, 2012
GEJ

1. A genius, always coming out the winner!
2. Causing the systematic revolution that is gradually equalizing the rich with the poor!
Re: Who Is Your Best Nigeria President Ever? by Arosa(m): 6:46pm On Jan 23, 2012
One can't assess GEJ at this point, we have to wait untill his term is over. Its only fair to do so.

those saying Obasanjo are not aware that he is the biggest looter in African history why at the same time falsely accusing Abacha of looting.

The man seriously treated Nigeria with contempt.

Born shortly before Shagari was toppled. Based on what I have read I will choose Buhari.
I remember, faintly, how everybody used to be disciplined during Buhari era. How you dared not urinate anywhere, or throw thrash just anywhere, or how wolewole people used to enforce sanitation, how you dared not keep your gutters untidy, how no street hawking, how those houses almost entering the streets were marked for demolition to keep the road to plans etc. Very young then, but still remembers faintly.

Obasanjo of course being a civilian president. Some people might not agree but he knows how to handle both sides of the ailes.

His age, experience, comic and background were asset for him. He did very well. History will judge later.

An average Nigerian (Politician, Student, cleric etc) is corrupt, so forget corruption even primary, high school kids are on the track of corruption in Nigeria except those whose parents or mentor guide well and listen to their guidance.

Obasanjo tried, his good side far better than the other.  I still respect him!

If Babangida had come back as a civilian presiden too, he would have done very well better than OBJ but he never did.

Long live OBJ.

How about none! No single president has left a positive life altering legacy for their fellow citizens that is worth mentioning. I think we'll get the answer soon though  lipsrsealed

Only presidents? Then it is OBJ.

But if you include VPs, then it is Idiagbon. I withnessed the whole Buhari era and to me, Idiagbon seemed like the actual president. It seemed like Buhari was just a ceremonial president and Idiagbon did the actual ruling. Who remembered War Against Indiscipline?

leaders must fulfil three functions; provide 4 d led; provide a social org in which ppl feel relatively secure & most provide them with one set of belief.
based on these i say Buhari. and to a lesser degree, gowon.
