Something else I don't want to see is Pogba playing CM, he is not good enough in that position, at Juventus he had to be moved further up. if we should play Pogba it should always be further up the pitch where he won't expose the defence with his lethargic runs and absurd tackles. We don't have a good lone DM to cover for him, and the team setup and pattern of play (or the lack of it) makes it impossible to play a sole DM anyway.

He has started his agenda. Where did anyone blame Fred for yesterday? Fred rightly got abuse for his performance against Everton but he is not the reason for the defeat. No individual player is. The manager is where it starts right now.

We have those two players who take turns to get forward. They don't both stay on the same line during play. We have one DM and one B2B. This doesn't count when the team is pinned back and almost everyone is back in our half like against Aston villa, where Bruno was playing long balls to Ronaldo.

They are both DMs because they are both limited offensively. It’s not really where they are positioned but what exactly they are offering.

Ole uses McFred to shield his back four. If a manager spends £180m in the defence, you wouldn’t expect them to be that heavily protected. However, Ole knows Maguire is hopeless so he protects him with his life.

Ole pairs him with another player that is very mobile as it makes sense to have very mobile players in the midfield since the attackers that should be the first defensive line are easily bypassed. If our attackers are closing down spaces, we wouldn't need McFred in the midfield.

What is Fred struggling at? Why are you not mentioning Tom? I almost want to believe Ole is playing Fred and Fred as the 2 sitting DM
