Bruno did not have a great season and is not sure to keep his position in the team by the time all the new midfield arrivals are sorted.

Making him captain might just lead to a situation whereby it would be difficult to drop the captain despite him not fitting into the football system.

The captain should be named at the end of preseason and I think the safest bet would be DDG. He is the oldest in the team and would be the one whose shirt is most assured. Otherwise you can name CR7 the captain.
