Maybe Una fit win am afterall Ten Hag get more matches and silverware experiences than Arteta na.

But then, everything needs to be resolved at the top first for coaches to thrive grin

See Liverpool used School Children to win Carabao Cup yesterday, but Ten Bald defender's excuse is injuries prevented Ten Bald from winning winnable matches and giving us good football.
Two season yet no style of play, not good pretty footy, but we should blame it on injuries..

But for real, imagine say we sack Arteta na, by now we for don dey do hire and fire anyhow with lots of money spent.

SIr RJ seems to be getting it right in the recruitment and football sides of things upward for any manager to excel, exactly what arsenal did when the recruitment side was suffering too and Arteta was the one handpicking players himself (just like ten Hag now)

Why not wait and see how he'll fare when the recruitment and stability is there for a manager to strive?

One thing is certain, if Sir Rj Is serous, Most of these players will be gone(including the one Ten Hag signed), same way Most of our players too were gone including the one Arteta signed at first too. grin
I still think Arteta bought himself some space by winning 2 trophies? in this first season.
Why would you sack him? undecided cheesy

Ten Hag also bought himself some space by winning trophy and taking them back to champions League. The issue is what happens after that?. Both played terrible football, like very very terrible football and results aren't showing on the pitch after some acquisitions so the fans are rightfully asking them to be sacked.

I'm just giving reasons why Ten Hag might not be as bad as he's presently showing because of how the environment is. Afterall we all saw how coveted he was in a stable environment

Okay. What has the Arteta done for you guys other than beautiful football after the terrible football with trophies.

Maybe he shouldn't have stopped playing teribble football. cheesy

We want trophies and good football. We don't want one. We want both.

I also say it here that Ten Hag have experience trophy -wise in managing his team compared to Arteta so yeah, there's high probability that with a stable and good environment he'll deliver trophies as well as good football quickly compared to Arteta

As for Arteta, we're already done in setting/playing the good football , the next is trophies which we're in that phase and we're already gunning for.

All these things is about Process sha. That's why the perfect model I always admire and look up to is Klopp and Liverpool. I remember defending him even when others are calling him bottler. Now, he's rated as one of the best or top 2 coaches in the world

Ten Hag has one ego that will destroy him. Apart from that, he should be fine.

He should go and let his ego finish him somewhere else.

I started hammering on pattern of play from last season...It was the reason I was at the forefront of Ole out. When a team has a recognizable pattern of play, it makes signing players easy and integrating new players either signings or from the academy.

Ten Hag on INEOS project: "The club dictates the style, so you have to get agreement about that. That is given by the leaders of this club".

"INEOS want to play proactive, dynamic, attacking football, which during my time here, we always tried to do".

"It's about performance. They defend like a team I've never seen before. They like to press high with a deep block.

"It's impossible. They like to do two things at the same time. You can only do one or the other.

"We're all pressing high or we're all defending deep. They're trying to do both."

We have said this before on this thread.

3-4 people will be pressing high while Maguire, Varane and co will be dropping deep at the back leaving Casemiro and Mainoo who are not speedsters to cover an area the size of Texas.

Mad tactics.

How is it that folks here can spot the issue in our tactics and gameplay but ETH and his coaching staff can't or probably don't know how to address the issue?

From the time of Ole, we have been talking about how the team's pressing is disjointed and the lack of movements, something we all thought ETH would fix but no, he has done little to address these challenges. Our pressing is still disjointed, our players still don't understand the concept of movement into space to open up passing lanes which is why we struggle to recover possession when we lose it and also struggle to retain possession when we have the ball.

ETH seems confused about what he wants from the team. Liverpool is the best transition team in the league but that does not mean they don't keep the ball well enough and this is thanks to the constant movement of their players into space.

I watch our games and see Dalot drifting into midfield (ETH copied from the other top managers) but that's about it, you don't see why Dalot pushes into midfield because the essence of the move is lacking in our play. At City or Pool, the extra player in midfield gives them an extra passing option in midfield and also frees up an extra body to push up high up the pitch but in our case, Dalot will slot in as an extra body in midfield yet instead of keeping the ball knowing our numerical advantage in the middle, we still end up rushing a quick pass forward...Our own transition football leaves a lot to be desired, it seems to encourage midfielders like Bruno and Casemiro to rush the pass when a simple pass to a player close to them is the better option.

ETH should go with his nonsense transition football, he doesn't know what he is doing at this point...

"Since Ten Hag joined the club in 2022, United have faced 20 or more shots in a Premier League game 12 times - already double that of Man City and Liverpool under Guardiola and Klopp, despite the pair having spent a combined 13 years longer with their clubs".

"This season alone, Ten Hag has watched his side face 16 or more shots on 14 different occasions, a tally matched only by Luton and Sheffield United, who both sit in the relegation zone"

From the article...

No lies told here. It looks like copy and paste.

With regards the Dalot issue there is a lot that can be said about but I think the main problem is the lack of between the lines passing on the right side of defence.
The only RCB who can do it quickly and with precision is Lindelof but he can’t play regularly as he is a defensive liability.
Maguire can do it but only after his brain processes it SLOWLY.
Varane who is first choice would rather sacrifice his first born son than pass between the lines into midfield.

A solution which ETH tried with some success in preseason would be for the CDM (Mainoo in preseason) to drift to the RCB position and he then has ability to pass into Dalot in midfield. This works best if one of the CBs is able to step into midfield to temporarily take Mainoo’s place and maintain the numerical overload.

I am sure what will jump out to you in the scenarios I just described is that for this to work we need technically sound players who are comfortable in tight spaces and can all receive the ball on the half turn.
Unfortunately, we don’t have many of those,
