the point is Muller and Schweiny were never real targets. the only link is that van Gaal has coached them in the past and probably has expressed admiration for them based on his working relationship with both guys.Suddenly Bayern makes a few purchases coupled with Pep making some comments in the media and some people decide that they are United targets.

the official line is that there are bids for Coleman and Ramos and nothing more.
