I would rate Valencia worse because of his direct contribution to the goal that started the onslaught,at least Young kept his defensive shape most times. However the chronic nature of Young's malaise is why most United fans are tired of him.

young worked the spaces left today. when he got the ball from the wide, he had nothing to aim at. this is why rooney leading the line worries me. he's never in the box to be the attack focus and he makes zero movements.

fellaini didn't have a good game but neither did toure. the players who got ate alive were smalling/valencia. all city's goals came from crosses into the box - yaya toure had nothing to do with those.
