It's player of the month not Man of the match. Lukaku was more decisive than De gea in February.

Scott for me. He played against two difficult opponents and did very well. Heck he was even our best player in one of them.

De Gea gave us a chance in the UCL which is the biggest stage.
Lukaku was impressive against Chelsea as well as McTonimay and even Matic but De Gea was more consistent.

as good as he performed though, considering his experience and age. But our best player in the sevilla game TBH by far is DDG

DDG made a couple of routine saves plus one reflex save, yes, but Scott was the only outfield player trying to make something of the game. If he's not encouraged he will soon begin to churn out some i-dont-care performances because he sees it as the norm.

DDG has won this countless times already. I say we reward the young lad so he continues to raise his game

Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Moroune Fellaini, Michael Carrick and Matteo Darmian are almost certain to leave at the end of th season.
Probable replacements?

I'd suggest Dybala, Fabinho, Savic or Gorginho.

David De Save- Came once again in his Clark kent apparel to give United a chance in progressing to the next stage of the UCL. He also made a record number of saves in a UCL game since the days of his ancestor - Van Da Save. Any mishap and that would have seen Sevilla send the red bus away from the UCL even before the second leg.

Lukaku De Lima- Now this guy has succeeded in making me believe in the spiritual because it seems the spirit of Ronaldo De Lima has visited Old Trafford in the form of a black Belgian. Even though he's guilty of playing left wing back against Sevilla, his performance against Chelsea has erased that memory. Hope he keeps up this new-found form.

Scott- Hmmm, this one. I heard this guy stole Herrera's shorts because its pockets were big enough to contain any impending hazard against United. The fact that he just came from the reserves even makes it sweeter. His performances have been very good and Herrera might have to forget his shorts for quite an amount of time.

In my opinion, DDG should win it smiley

“Yesterday, [we trained] indoor and today, outside but [it has been] difficult. We tried, we worked. The atmosphere is positive and we can't complain because it's over. So, for the rest of the day, they [the players] can be at home.”

Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Oasis007(m): 7:00pm On Mar 02, 2018
“My advice to him [McTominay] is not about national teams - it's not about that. My advice to him is to keep the way he is - very humble, very open to learn, intelligent and keep going in the same direction and the same profile, trying to fight to have minutes with Manchester United which is not easy.

"Then the national team will just be a consequence of his work at the club. But I can't confirm at all that both national teams [England and Scotland] have contacted him because I don't know.”

Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Oasis007(m): 7:01pm On Mar 02, 2018
“I think the people around him [McTominay] are the right people. I have never met them but I have to believe that the kid with his attitude towards the others and towards football, the parents must be really good people that pass to him the right values. The kid is keeping his feet on the ground and is very calm.

"I think he passed some important tests - not from the football point of view but more from the mental point of view, with his maturity, calm, playing against the champions and knockout football in the Champions League. Two tests by the mental approach. So, I think there is a long way to go, obviously, but his feet are very much on the ground, very stable and I just hope he can keep the same direction.”

- JOSE MOURINHO
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Oasis007(m): 7:02pm On Mar 02, 2018
“First of all, the gap is a very short gap - six points between the second and the fifth teams is really short and really open for everybody. But all four are in the Champions League still, so we have other focuses and targets all of us.

"I have to say all of us are very good teams - in spite of some times the way I read, it looks like all the others are better than us. But I'm not so sure that is the reality.

"I would say four very good teams and one will be out of the Champions League. If you ask me second or fourth, I say by the financial point of view it doesn't make a difference, by the prestige point of view, it doesn't make a difference - you go to the Champions League and even the fourth team doesn't have to even play a last qualification match.

"But, from the personal point of view, second is better than third and third is better than fourth. So, we are going to try the best possible finish. Of course, the top four is very difficult and, at the moment, that's the main target for us. But, if you can finish third, we are not going to finish fourth. If you can finish second, we are not going to finish third.”

Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Oasis007(m): 7:05pm On Mar 02, 2018
"For Zlatan, we all think it's his last season at Manchester United and it will be a very personal decision for him to play or to stop.

"I think he won the right of choosing his life and his future - he's such an amazing player with such an amazing career that only that awful injury in the wrong moment broke a fantastic couple of seasons that he could, and should, have with us.

"This season has been really difficult for him. Is he injured? No, he's not injured. Does he feel totally happy and totally ready and totally convinced that he's in [the] conditions to help the team in this moment? No.

"But he's such an honest guy and such a champion that he only wants to be back with that feeling of 'I'm totally ready for it'. He's working hard and, hopefully, his evolution brings him to that level that he wants to have a positive answer."

- JOSE MOURINHO
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Oasis007(m): 7:07pm On Mar 02, 2018
“He [Fellaini] is still a young player, his injury had a little surgery, but a minor surgery, and he will be back to play again in a couple of weeks.

“If we proceed in the Champions League beyond Sevilla, I think he will be ready for a hypothetical quarter-final. He will be ready for a hypothetical FA Cup semi-final. He will be ready for the last couple of months of our Premier League fight."

- JOSE MOURINHO
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Oasis007(m): 7:08pm On Mar 02, 2018
"Is he [Fellaini] going to stay or leave? I don't know. I don't know. I want him to stay, the club wants him to stay. The process, the negotiations, the numbers, the distances between the offer and what he wants - I really don't know how things are going.”

- JOSE MOURINHO
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Oasis007(m): 7:09pm On Mar 02, 2018
"No Phil Jones, no Marcos Rojo, no Daley Blind - We don't have them. So the situation hasn't changed. The squad is the same."

Hard to choose. Each player contributed on different ways to the team's success in February.

I'll give it to the young Scott though, to motivate other youngsters to increase their hustle.

It's funny. What Fellaini brings to the table, no one else in the team does- a mighty aerial presence!

I remember the derby LvG won by 4 goals. Fellaini bullied Yaya T. and other City players in the air throughout the match.

Dude won almost all of the aerial contests. Goal kicks were like passes from De Gea and Hart to Mata.

Jorginho is a must get for me then a proper CM (Fabinho if he has decided to concentrate on Midfield).
Dybala would be a good add-on if he comes cheap say 50-60m.

Sadly thats the only thing of note he brings to the table as a midfielder and it isnt every time that set of skill is needed. Would be a good squad guy perfect for Plan -B.
Be like na money they hold the negotiation..Fella wants to be paid more for elbowing, heading people upandan grin grin

Seems like most of us are in agreement with DDG the boss.....that guy has pulled us out of so many fires this season that they should just permanently leave him as player of the month till the season ends. He is also most likely to win the golden glove this season so that surely will seal his superiority...

As for the contracts....fellaini should use the first exit abeg....i can't even believe they are actually "negotiating?" he should join chelsea or athletico where his mechanical style would be appreciated......Young and blind getting new 1 year deals also grinds my gears...but I think that was for profit in case any bids come in for them

this jorginho that everyone is raving about,is he really that good? haven't watched him much tho..

as for fabinho,if we are getting him I think it should be for the rb position,if we are getting a midfielder,it has to be a specialist..
do you honestly expect dybala to be sold for 50-60m?
