Someome should compare Kante's 2015/16 and 2016/17 stats to Ndidi's current stats, but also look at passing stats ie total attempted, accuracy, success with long balls, average range. They are very necessary if a DM like that will play in your team.

How are his attacking stats? Passing stat? I like him but it's a different ball game when you play in a possession team that needs DM that can initiate attacks from deep and not just concern with winning balls.

Ndidi won the highest number of tackles in the EPL last season. Also tackles per minutes played for players having 1000 minutes or more.

Hopefully this will change with a DoF. I'm always of the opinion that there are so many good players in the EPL for cheap that will improve our game in the league and raise our level a bit in Europe.
But Woodward will always want to go for that 80 million player from Spain or Italy.

We have missed very good players. For instance, SAF identified Kante as early as January or February that year as the outstanding player in the Leicester team and the whole of EPL that season. Four months after we didn't bid.
