I'm aware of one traore and Laird who recently moved to the reserve team but I don't know much about them nor do I care right now. Others are just bang average. Barlow is a lil decent though.

On a different note, I would love us to sign Axel zagodou, Dortmund's top CB prospect who's adept in the Lcb role. If not for the signing of Diallo, he would be the undisputed starter beside Akanji. I rate him a lot better than Diallo though cos he's as calm on the ball but better in the air. He's often deployed as a left back to accomodate him but his best performance has always been in the Cb role.

I would still love us to sign Van de beek for the CDM role 'cos Garner is still too young and he had a forgettable performance the last time he played for the first team in a preseason match. I would also love us to trigger Depay's buyback clause however we would need to offload Lukaku and maybe Sanchez.

Ndidi is also a good shout. As a midfield enforcer, he would give us the needed steel 'cos Fred no be it at all. Leicester would likely fleece us. If not Ndidi, then Mdombele of Lyon.

Who are all these players?

You don't know Ndombele? He and Depay were Lyon's best players against City in both legs. I would liken him to Matuidi although Ndombele's technically better and has more eye catching passing than the former. He's also sound defensively. A typical all round box-box midfielder.

I didn't even realise Zagadous is already starting in his best role for Dortmund. There was no way he would be ignored for long because he's that good. He's composed on the ball, great in the air, has good reading of the game and has got great commanding presence.

I wanted us to sign De ligt last season but I've changed my mind. As a matter of fact, De ligt is right footed eventhough he has no problem playing as a LCB but I want a natural in that role. Also, I'm a bit sceptical of De Ligt's agility and the fees slapped on him no be here. Hence, my moving on. Lucas Hernandez is another option but he isn't as good on the ball and Atletico will likely fleece us.

Lastly, Van de beek has been heralded by me many times on here and I haven't changed my mind about him one bit. Eventhough he's been deployed as a box-box CM for Ajax so far, his best role is the no 6 role as seen when he replaced Schone in that role against PSV and controlled that game from there till the end. People keep heralding Frenkie De jong for his eye catching display but I just don't see it. His display against Bayern was even woeful. As a matter of fact, I would liken Frenkie to Thiago Alcantara. He also hugs the ball a lil bit than what is required of a no 6 and he has this unnecessary mistake in him. I prefer Van de beek in every way. Not to mention the fact that Van de beek is great in the air, a great set piece taker and fantastic goal scorer. He's got everything as the total package.

Son looks a loyal lad however, Erikson looks most likely to move on, don't see him signing an extension at this point. With his contract expiring next season, we could get him for as low as 30 - 35m
